Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I do go to all the matches - and would with or without a season ticket. My gripe is that prices are being reduced for general sale tickets but not for season tickets - that's all.

I'm not having a go, I'm just saying that if you went to the same matches the season ticket guarantees you end up spending €70. You spend either €75 on a renewal or €85 for your first year. It's not like you're getting shafted for being a season ticket supporter or anything. Previously there was more value all right (7 matches at €15/match) but it's still not bad value, most ST holders will break even or do better than their outlay :)

Fair enough - I'm still a little bit thick with Croke Park though - kind of like when Sky or someone offers a super duper cheap deal for "new customers only"....I'll get over it if I'm sitting in Section 406 of the Cusack on the second Sunday in September I suppose!

it is ironic that a Kilkenny fan doesnt see a guaranteed all ireland ticket as being a bonus in the scheme, should one of the most regular teams to be in a final get to yet ANOTHER one!

Of course I appreciate it - we've had better value than anyone else since the season ticket started - this is either the 4th or 5th year? and I've gotten brilliant AI final tickets every year bar one because of it!! But that is not my point!! (to clarify again, my point is - ticket prices for the league are being reduced for general sale tickets, season ticket prices were not reduced)

The price isn't based on the likelihood of making a final in any season ticket. You have to take the value of the ticket based on guaranteed matches and every hurling season ticket only has €70 worth of guaranteed value, though most will end up with more. There has been a reduction in value since the entry prices to the league and number of matches was reduced but it's still well above the threshold for most people I imagine

Does anybody know if a hurling season ticket would get you into the double bill in Croke Park next Sat? Walsh Cup Final KK v Dub and Kerry v Dub in football.

Would doubt it very much. Technically it shouldnt anyway.

No. The football season ticket and the hurling season ticket are two different things. Having one will not get you into games in the other code. Pre season tournaments (such as the Walsh Cup) are not covered by the season ticket, so you are out of luck on both fronts. Sorry.

Yep, just to confirm the pre-league competitions aren't covered. So you either pay for a ticket on Tickets.ie (€10 I believe) or if you have a Parnell Pass/Season Ticket for Football you're covered :D

Tickets are 15 quid per game, if you buy them at Croker on the day. They are only 10 quid if you buy them in advance online, or at the DCB ticket office.

When you log in to your season ticket account, in the home screen you should see a menu at the top, to the left you should see "My Tickets" click that and your tickets will be there. You might not see them there until around Wednesday/Thursday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,584 ✭✭✭TouchingVirus

If you're off to Croker then you log in here, click the existing season ticket holder section and go to the tickets section once you log in. Then click Football or Hurling Season ticket and you should see the available tickets to print. None are showing up yet for me, I'll check back tomorrow evening & Wednesday - they don't show up usually until after the deadline for Bring-A-Friend has expired. You will do this for every Croke Park match.

They are having some laugh tonight with the emails, multiple offers of extra tickets , some with mistakes in them, then an apology for spamming with wrong emails, then an apology for the apology and that original wasn't a mistake so ignore the email telling you to ignore original mails!

Was quite the shock when I got a mail telling me my football tickets were ready for this weekend. Doubt there are many (if any) Waterford football season ticket holders

Do you have to print off a ticket or can you not just show your card

For matches in Croke Park or other assigned-seating matches you must print off your ticket beforehand. For all other matches you simply need to bring the card and it will be scanned.

Ok but mine is a hill16 season ticket so still apply?

I'd be nearly sure that Croke Park is a fully ticketed stadium so you will have to print your ticket beforehand. It's the same for the Parnell Pass holders except that they must pick up their tickets from the Dorset St ticket office.

    EDIT:

I found this in a mail about the 2013 AI Quarter Finals:
We urge all Season Ticket holders to print ASAP and please contact us via seasonticket@gaa.ie or call 1890 92 46 48 if you are experiencing any difficulties. For print at home guidelines please click here

Please ignore if you have Opted Out or a Hill 16 Season Ticket Holder!

So you probably don't need to print a ticket. Just wait for their email, it should be sent today or tomorrow.

Yeah I think it said in an email just go to the designated stall coming in.

Season Ticket cards are used on the Hill as there is no seating allocation, you should still receive a mail to remind you to bring your Season card on Matchday.

The Bring a Friend option. Is that only available for matches in Croke Park?

The juvenile tickets are only available for the Cusack/Davin stands. If you want your kids in with you in Hill 16 then you've to buy an adult ticket for each match, they are €10 in advance or €15 on the day from ticket vans.

Yes, since Croke Park is (to my knowledge) the only allocated seating stadium. If you want to bring a friend with you to another match in the country just walk in together and sit beside each other :)

Hey does anybody know if you have a football season ticket can you come in for the hurlers before on Saturday?
I assume the hurling season ticket holders won't be made leave so........

Absolutely. If you have a Football season ticket you can enter for the Walsh Cup match. It's the same for every double-header, they don't empty the grounds between each match.

However, if you only have a hurling season ticket then you must purchase a ticket. The Walsh Cup is not covered with a hurling season ticket, that only works for Allianz League matches and the Leinster/AI Senior Hurling Championship

Generally I'd prefer to be up in any of the doubles up to about QQ, after that you could be a bit under the overhang to see high balls and the screen in the Nally. The bit of height would be lovely, when you're lower down you tend to miss a bit that goes on over the Hogan side. I've bad news for you though, if it rains you're going to get wet in HH, the overhang doesn't start until about MM :D

He won't :) They're some of the best seats in the house. I was in SS for the 2011 final, the overhang from 5xx is not that big - you'll struggle to see a high ball all right but should have a good view of the giant screen at the Nally. The one atop the Hogan/Davin is dead to you though. You'll be well sheltered from any bad weather and yes, they have arm rests, luxury :pac:

I am in 305 Row E. I don't like down there at all. I get better ones up higher in the championship.

  • Registered Users Posts: 45 mackattack

We are in 308 VV 7 of us in a seating group.

A bit worried about the kids lasting 4 hours. Bringing blankets and flasks and hopefully the overhang will provide cover.

Southwest winds increasing to gale force on Saturday morning, and continuing stormy through the afternoon and evening as winds gradually veer westerly. Wintry showers will quickly develop and a covering of snow is likely on higher ground; there will be a risk of isolated thunderstorms also. Feeling bitterly cold; highest temperatures only 6 or 7 degrees Celsius.

Separate thread here. It's a bit mad, I wonder if I'll get a letter too. It doesn't say how accessible your data was - like what did somebody have to do to get your data? Did they have to log in or did they have to mess about with URLs or what?
