Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Finally finished the 1000 miles this morning. By my calcultions, I crossed the 1000 mile mark with 400m to go of the LeCheile 5k this morning en route to a 5k PB of 18:52.

Well done Meno. Good job in Limerick on Sunday as well.

But did you get your photo in the Irish Times, like a certain 3.15 pacer we all know??:p

1000 miles broken on Sunday on an easy 12 miler, 5 days later than last year but even worse beaten by Meno by a day , see you at 2000, motivation for miles:D

I was looking over my shoulder on saturday. Thats why I had an extra long warmup before the race. I figured it might come down to minutes :pac:. The race to 2000 is on, enjoy your rest after kildare on sunday, take 2-3 months off is my advice ;)

After all the furore during the week what did i meet on the homeward journey only travellers racing their horses and traps!
I was well inside the hard shoulder but this was not good enough for the lads who flashed and beepedfor me to move further in, bunch of assholes:mad:.
Anyway I'm off shortly for my Stag so mite be a while berore I update my mileage again ;)

Who is deleting peope off the list??

There is definitely about 10 names wiped off (between No's 90 & 100 approx). I just jumped 12 spots with a 15 miler & there was no way I was that close to the next bunch ahead of me.

Thank you to that person who deleted me and about 10 more from the list

  • Registered Users Posts: 150 ✭✭Rolex_

Just found the thread and added myself to the list (hopefully correctly)
Might just hit the 1000 in the Cork HM this day fortnight all going well :D

Woddle, I hope your not saving up your miles for a big update. That would be considered cheating:

    woddle M 586.6
    robinph M35 586.2

I'm going to overtake you again. :D:D:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 875 ✭✭✭scriba

Hey Robinph, I listed my name and numbers into list, but the spreadsheet magic never insterted me into the positions sheet. Could you take a peek at it? I want my predictions! :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 180 ✭✭OldBloke

By my count theres actually about 40 missing from the list :(

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 24,118 Mod ✭✭✭✭robinph

I was just able to identify a block of people that had been deleted and have now added them back in again, hopefully not creating any duplicates.

@scriba: not sure what it may have been doing before, but you seem to be in the positions list OK now.

I had forgotten to delete the lines in one sheet that got automajically copied from another sheet. All fixed again now. :D

Add your name back in for now and send me a pm with the mileage of the wrong duplicate entry and I'll get rid of that one later on when I'm back at a proper machine.

Thought I'd never see that 900 mile mark. Last few weeks seem to have been very tough going. Taper madness now for Cork as well, so 1000 date is gonna continue to drift out :(

Congratulations to belcara who despite illness still managed to pip me at the post:)

I passed the 1,000 mile mark this morning in glorious, glorious sunshine by the sea.
I imagine 1,000 miles isn't a huge deal for most of the seasoned runners on here but I'm very proud of myself.
Choosing to join this table in the year I took on my first Ultra obviously made it a little easier but nevertheless I'm delighted to finish in the top 15.
Only 997 miles left till I reach 2,000:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,704 ✭✭✭✭RayCun

Beat you both to 2000 ;)

The 'positions' sheet doesn't recognise my updated entry on the 'enter distance here' sheet. Any idea how I can fix it?

Edit: when I update the 'Running Miles' column, the 'positions' sheet changes, but not when I update in the 'Running KM' column.

Only put numbers in one of the columns. The KM's column is only used if you have nothing in the Miles column...this is the 1000 MILE challenge after all.

The KM's are calculated for the positions sheet automagically.

    Ah great!

I was updating KMs only up until now and somehow data was entered into the Miles column sometime in the past few weeks. I just removed it and it works fine :) Thanks Robin.

Erm. No idea what is going on there. I've deleted you, I've re-added you, I've deleted the duplicate lines, I've rejigged some hidden sheets that do a bit of black magic. No idea where the extra lines for you are coming from though.

I'll try and have another look later if I get the chance and try and figure out what is so special about you.

I'm just one of those "special" people...someone wants to see my name in lots of place!!!
    Thanks!

Only started running consistently 3-4 times a week again the past fortnight. Added my name to the list as an extra incentive to keep going.

There's been a mess made of my entry.

I won't mess around with it in case it makes it worse.

    I was at 1247.2km

1001. Took me till mid December last year to get there. Still don't consider myself a runner. If I reach my goal in Dublin maybe then.

Robin can you do anything about it, lots of the entries are Males so their names must have been changed...any of the F or F40, can you delete....current mileage is 459.04m

I think I've now fixed you. I deleted all the other duplicate you's, who knows where they came from? If you were an entry that had been assimilated into the younganne Borg collective then you'll need to re-add yourself again.
