Me too, but I assumed it was me and my limited google docs knowledge.

I wonder has Brian seen his new name yet?

I've been completely deleted from the list, I know I've been slacking off recently but I plan on logging some nice miles on Saturday:D

It's view only access at the moment so I imagine Robinph is making some mods before releasing to us?

Nope, you are 131st on alphabetical order, but still 1st in miles run ;)

No, that page is sorted alphabetically. Don't change it, don't do anything there except add in your extra miles.
Your position in the challenge is on the Positions tab (the button at the bottom of the page). You're still in first.

    Arrggghhh.

Missed that I'd messed up the access, got busy doing something else, wasn't paying attention. I've changed it back again for the moment until I clear my head to figure out exactly which combination of buttons I need to hit...

    Just squeezed myself in.

I have been keeping an eye on the table since the start of the year and I think its definitely helped in keeping me getting out the door.

    Thanks

Ohh, just seen that someone has now done 1000 of those NOT MILES foreign French things. How close with the prediction calculator be with it's current guess of 12th March for the 1000 miles proper?

I'd just like to say that I've had absolutely none of these problems, and my experience overall has been really good. However, I would like to request that prog rock fans be excluded. I submit that Close to the Edge is one such, and wish him (they're always 'him') shunned. SHUNNED, I say.

I'm listening Daveanon, I've just added on todays run and will try to keep as far away from you in the table as I can.:)

Would it be an idea to add in which county each one of us is from?

Might add a bit of rivalry and help everyone get out the door a bit more?

This is great, the motivation to go out running is a big plus for me.
I'm just back from Munich where I ran 3 evenings, the first was at about -12 and snowing, I had icicles on my eyebrows and eye lashes when I got back to the hotel. The second was around -8 after a bit of a thaw and the last one was a very slippy and slushy run so I stayed on the footpaths. (not the well gritted / cleared cyclelanes!! ;))
There is no way I would have gone out if it wasn't for the "challenge"

That was an attempt at humour, Close, reading it again it looks a bit heavy-handed; par for the course on another board I post on, but we all know each other pretty well over there. I shouldn't be assuming I can be so robust here. Hope you weren't taking any offence.

Ok, I mysteriously disappeared off the sheet - but I won't take that personally :p.
Now I'm back on the sheet and back running and have rocketed up to 79th place - watch yizzer's backs beepbeep rides again ;)

Is there a reason I would have been deleted off the list or was somebody just clumsy and deleted me.. Now to try and figure out what Mileage I was on..

If you know when you last updated, you can view the revision history and see what your mileage was then. DON'T REVERT TO THAT VERSION, just view it to find your mileage.
It's a good idea to keep a copy of your total somewhere else, just for a backup...

    No offence Dave.

just happens that I extracted this from the guardian today
Adharanand Finn spent a year in Kenya training with elite runners. His book, Running with the Kenyans, is published by Faber & Faber on 5 April.
"The best thing that we can learn from Kenyans about preventing injuries is not to be afraid to skip a training session if you're tired. Their mantra is 'listen to your body'. Pushing things when you are over-tired is a common reason for injuries. One of the top coaches in Kenya told me that because it can be hard to get decent treatment for injuries they are more careful not to overdo things. 'We ride close to the edge here:),' he says, 'but, when we get too close, we have to pull back.'
"It helps that Kenyans don't count up their weekly mileage, which means they're less inclined to feel bad about missing a session. Of course all of this could be easily misinterpreted by those inclined to feel lazy before a run. The reason Kenyans can take such a relaxed approached and still be successful (I'm generalising here, but it is widely true) is because they are so highly motivated to succeed that they wouldn't skip a session unless they felt it was really necessary."

Explains my christening and interestingly its like the antithesis of what we are up to here. Still looks like it might be a good read when it comes out.
