Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sarsfields are looking poor alot of dropping the ball and leaving players loose.
Moorefield look stronger and doing alot more running at sarsfields.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,101 ✭✭✭klairondavis

7 point lead for Moorefield and dominant at midfield. Sarsfields need a miracle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,101 ✭✭✭klairondavis

7th county title for the Moores. Their 6th since the millennium. They looked down and out on a number of occasions this year but they know how to win. There are more talented footballing teams in the county but there are none tougher.

Kildare beat Carlow 4-6 to 0-8 according to KFM with Danny Egan scoring 4-1.

Edit: KFM tweeted a teamsheet as well:

Those jerseys are nice from the front, way too much advertising on the back though.

Bit of a shock in the u21 FC this afternoon with Castledermot knocking out Athy. Celbridge and Maynooth also through to the semi finals.

    Christy Ring Cup 2015 draw:

Kildare v London, Meath v Wicklow, Derry v Mayo, Kerry v Down

Great win for Castledermot alright. Emmett O'Keeffe to the fore again by all accounts. Paddy Brophy's last game for Celbridge before he heads for Oz, major blow to their chances.

Paddy was sent off along with Cian Kilkenny so he would have been suspended for the rest of the championship anyway! He'll be a massive loss for club and county in the years ahead. He had the potential to be a top class inter county forward.

Them jerseys are poor, Tyrone and Waterford will be more white than Kildare's.

I assume it was a straight red for Paddy so? What did he do?

I heard there was a bit of a scuffle between the two lads.

    Leinster IFC:

    Eadestown 2-15 Railyard 0-2

Comfortable win for Eadestown down in Freshford. They will face Sean O'Mahony's in the semi final at a Louth venue in two weeks time.

Brian Flanagan has called time on his inter county career. Been very unlucky with injuries in the last couple of years

He was always willing to put his body on the line for the cause. We could have done with a few more like him down the years.

Eadestown knocked out of the Leinster IFC by a point. Losing Cian Bolton to an early black card really put pay to their chances.

Coill Dubh also well beaten in the hurling.

Not to difficult to predict the results there. Same old tired faces. Interesting to see who gets the treasurer job. Bit of a poison chalice that one. However I would like to see Alan Dunney get the nod. Will this be the year that Ger Donnelly finally come outs from the long grass and puts he neck on the line for the big job he's been after for the last few years. Without Marty McEvoy in the field I think this will see the end of John McMahon's tenure. At least it would get Donnelly out of the CCC and into the spotlight.

    Surely that's a joke....
maybe I should analysis it in the morning

Moorefield getting cleaned out of it at midfield by the sounds of it. Not for the first time this year either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,101 ✭✭✭klairondavis

Moorefield down by 8 at half time.

    Straffan up by 10.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,101 ✭✭✭klairondavis

    Rhode 1-15 Moorefield 2-4

    Straffan 2-13 Courtwood 0-8

  • Registered Users Posts: 230 ✭✭homeofhurling

i belive Rhode lost their captain and one of their best players this year in Padraig o'Sullivan to a black card and then gave moorefield a lesson in football.

Anthony Rainbow to take over from Johnny Crofton as Sarsfields manager for 2015.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,492 ✭✭✭roy rodgers

I can't see that happening. Heard Courtney is interested again

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,101 ✭✭✭klairondavis

Not a done deal? Is Courtney still part of the Dubs management?

Where did you hear that Klairon? I heard he was joining them as selector/trainer, not manager.

I had just assumed he had got the managerial gig but reading it again it does seem like he is going to work with Crofton.

Still a few Kildare lads involved there including Conway, Cribbin, Donnellan and Hyland. Opens the door for a few more newcomers in January if those players are tied up with the college.
