i got an openelec 6 back up from linux sat web,
it might be on the wetek forum also
its fully set up with both tvheadend and vdr,
you enable whichever option u want,
i tried it last night with vdr
    and was running ok

Hi I found that 6 backup but its Igbit in size ? seems rather large compared to original image of 10Mbits. I realise it has addons included but still seams excessive .Have you actually used it ?
    Thanks

Anyone have Cool Tv guide installed on their box?

Could you please send me on your Coolpico file from
    Usr/lib/enigma2/components/renderer.

Fecking deleted mine by acccident and now i can't install or unistall it, its left in limbo where its there but cant be used.

Don't want to attempt deleting it from the box in FTP incase it puts it into a bootloop.

    Edit:
    Never mind sorted it out.

Not sure if its been mentioned here before but there's an Android remote control app for this.

Works on the Play and the Core. I had to enable remote in the settings on the box first. Doubt it will work on OpenElec.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wetekplay.wecontrol

I doesn't, but think I mentioned before that Kodi works with HDMI-CEC so if your TV supports it then it's remote will wort in kodi. On samsung TV's the option is called Anynet+ hit tools and enable that on TV remote

Yatse works in Kodi/OpenELEC, I just realised I've never actually tried Kore

any of you notice how bad the picture on some of the channels is? is this to do with the tuner or kodi settings, i changed some settings & think it helped a bit but some sd channels especially are atrocious, same ones don't look as bad on a sky box

have u ur hdd working ok,
    that with enigma 2

its better to have epg and picons on a usb, 8gb or maybe 4gb should do,
will save ur hdd spinning all the time when not recording,

Epg is fine on hdd as it's read into flash memory on boot up/download

Having it spinning the hole time is a bit of an issue, must get a small USB that'd do the job, my box freezes when I try to record so the hdd is pointless really.

My picons just reside on the media/uSDextra folder no need for either USB or hdd

ya dont use the hdd just for that
you'll get an 8gb for about 5 euro or little more,
i was looking at a 128gb usb 3.0 stick on mymemory for about 24 euro,
was going use that as hdd , picons, epg and timeshift

They're ridiculously cheap now. - 5 year warranty on these too.

Plenty of room for picons and epg, anything else can go on a USB stick

Storing mine in file:///storage/.kodi/userdata/picons but they are not showing up. Downloaded from http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/downloads/picons-channel-icons/mk-400x240-snp-picons/
Files are in format of bbconehd.png
    Nothing showing up though...

i think i'm using those as well. was there 2 folders inside the one you d'loaded, adult & channels?
move all the images to the one folder or else point to the folder inside picons

only some are showing up for me though, most of them aren't. need to find better ones.

openelec (tvheadend) & openatv, though i've used openelec mostly so far.

i'm not a videophile but i think pixelation would be the technical term, notice it especially with quicker moving images

i know some of the channels aren't broadcast in the highest quality anyway but they don't appear as bad with a sky box

Lads I have an open elec box from wetek. Very happy with it except for the plug. I have to plug into an adapter for a a regular two pin, and then into another adapter, then into the socket. I don't like this set up at al, it strikes me as dangerous. anyone know where I can get an ordinary adapter for it?
