....So where did you lose this KOM? :D

Too soon, man, too soon! :)

Lol noticed that myself recently. Also noticed a few friends from another club spend a lot of time riding same routes then slagging each other when they swap a KOM between them. One 5k stretch has the top 8 from the same club but few would be considered exceptionally strong, had a good bit of banter when out with them recently

To expand a tad, this fella got 12 KOMs on Saturday and 14 or so on Sunday. Well planned, in fairness.

I think I have seen him mentioned on here before and he does it to advertise his business, possibly.

I'll bleedin' get mine back, shure it's only 3 seconds! I just need a southerly Hurricane and I'm there!

FFS - all those segments 1-2 mins or less, many just a few hundred metres. Who creates such short segments?
Must go out an find a few bumps in the road in the locality.

You can create a segment from someone else's ride. It is not necessary for you to have ridden it.
    jinkypolly wrote: »
    How do you do that?
It's no different than creating a segment on one of your own rides. Obviously you need to find a ride that goes through the start and end point of the proposed segment.

Can start by looking for a segment that is either part of the one you want or includes it in its entirity using teh segment explore function. Then look at the leaderboard and try and find a ride from it that includes the entire segment. You then simply make a segment from that ride

I think I saw a cycling documentary advertised to start on TV yesterday. Did anyone see it? I can't find the name of it or what station it's on anywhere.

Strava has informed me that I've lost a KOM in the USA that I didn't know I had. The segment must have been created after I had ridden it.

(Reclaiming it might be a bit awkward and costly. I think I'll let it go! :pac:)

All this talk of Strava had me checking my own, I've ignored it since I lost one to someone on a particularly windy day where they didn't have to start from the light so was in a huff, but apparently I have another... which is always the windiest bit of my spins, so doesn't count.

What's that? You deliberately hit a cyclist with your ****-off SUV? Ah sure, just pay $250 to the poor box and we'll call it quits. **** me.

Well, they would, wouldn't they? Who's going to mine the minerals and produce the plastics?
What baffles me is how much people smoke in those dystopias; must be a lot of baccy-growing going on somewhere on those cobbled-together islands of metal in the sea.

You just ride the ones that have already been made. Y'know the millions that are being unused.

    Dear Prudence,
I live in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country, but on one of the more “modest” streets—mostly doctors and lawyers and family business owners. (A few blocks away are billionaires, families with famous last names, media moguls, etc.) I have noticed that on Halloween, what seems like 75 percent of the trick-or-treaters are clearly not from this neighborhood.

    Rather gritted-teeth response.

Got a Taxi Home from work on Wednesday night, Stoneybatter to blackrock. She didn't use her indicator once. Not once! And went the wrong way twice. But she's busy at it these days, Workin 6 days a week "thank god". I nearly ate the back of my hand...

Sligo Wheelers are aiming high in the Wexford area.

    http://www.sligowheelers.com/About
To be the top multi-discipline cycling club in Wexford and also to encourage more people to take up cycling in the South East.
