I'm looking for a good place to buy spices.

I tried the Asian food shops in westside and they both felt a little understocked.

Not sure if any better but there's an Asian shop between electric and La Salsa, opposite Sally Longs

    Don't think so.

I saw Sennheiser HD429S in Zhivago recently but no 439s.

    maybe Ivors in Shantalla?

Would they take malfunctioning ones as well?

Alternatively, does anyone know anyone in town who fixes lawnmowers (for less than buying a new one of course? :) )

That's the one went to in the end.
It's a great little shop really, unbelievable prices for cumin and tumeric.
About 1/5 of what you'd pay in dunne's or supervalue.
Those Goodalls basterds are having a laugh with those little glass bottles.

Tesco also their own spices for a fraction of the branded alternatives price.

I'm looking for a couple of things....

    1. Chipotle peppers in adobe sauce.

    2. Big jars for holding water... I wana try home made fruity water stuff.

    3. Americans, is there an American community in Galway. I've come across some old stuff in advertiser archives but nothing up to date.

Sit in Taaffes Bar for more than 20 seconds, you'll meet every American in Galway. If you're still here during the college year, there's usually a huge influx of American students coming over for a semester, who usually get together in groups in town too.

The couch seat cushions have started sagging something wicked. Need new foam most likely.
    Who in Galway will...
    a) Sell foam cut to size for the couch cushions
    or
    b) Come out and fit new foam at a reasonable enough price.

Anyone know where I could pick up a retractable keychain like this or even one of those old style coiled ones?

Have you tried the keysmiths downstairs in the eyre square/Corbett court shopping centre? I think I saw something like that in there once (I wouldn't be in there all that often though so maybe they no longer have them)

Primark and the poundland /euro shop at GSC

Primark ones better quality though. Got mine at both shops at GSC.

Hard to find ones that are big and strong enough

Any ideas of shops/office suppliers that I could buy them in Galway?

try the seamstresses on Eyre St., opposite Laptek, found them to be very accommodating, they might fit them for you
