Everytime Sheehan is on he sounds more like a gov spokesman than a journalist tbh.

You must understand that FS is an embedded journalist, and must report in a favorable way towards the powers that be, or be excluded from the cocktail circuit. Such is life. Long live reporters who do not give a fook about their invites. They are few and far between.

Fionnan has rumbled Stephen and Pearse. About time someone outed those muppets.

Wait and see what rolls out about the last few weeks, I would assume there will a lot of posters running for cover, due to embarrassment. Pearse, and Stephen will still be there asking the same questions.

I hope he lays into Lynch.

Today's apology doesn't make ministers immune from tough questions.

Fair play to the Author, sorry I missed her name, but she should be allowed to go one to one on McAlleese, what about it Vinny.

It sometimes takes a foreign person to show how backward we are.

There is no doubt in my mind that these women have had a number done on them. Massive fudge.

That is the reason McAleese cut and run to Rome.

I agree. The Irish are too worried about offending the clergy whereas the two ladies who sound English are not bothered about the clergy and are just telling the truth. It sounds horrendous

Is he now bound by the official secrets act for 25 years? Not that Mary would let him blow the whistle on the her new employers!

There's still no comment from them freaks? (The nuns)

I don't agree that the widespread availability of the domestic washing machine brought about the end to the Magdalene Laundries.

There were far more social and cultural reasons.

I fact, I don't think home washing machines had anything to do with it.

We do not need them, we have Enda's false tears.

The penny might be dropping for that Magdelene lady, judging by her reaction to Vincent and the ex gratia clause.

Never saw Crocodile tears like them in my life - embarrassing

Don't know. I don't think they mentioned it or if they did I missed it.

The author has spoken to lots of people about the laundries but not sure who McAleese spoke to - from what I'm hearing on the Magdaline Laundries his report seemed to be the sanitised version - the victims/survivors stories are certainly more graphic.

Why hasn't any politician mentioned the catholic church and said make them pay, both financially and publically?

How quickly you forget Bertie's interview with Brian Dobson.

Why is Katie French's family blaming these other people? My understanding is she admitted being a drug taker? Why is it their fault? She took the drugs, they weren't forced on her. Sometimes you have to take personal responsibility for your own actions

Isn't it illegal to sell drugs?

I think that's what today was about.

When you are in the limelight someone else is always to blame.

I didn't mean they should get off for selling drugs, I'm just curious why her family is across the front of the paper saying, we'll never forgive them. She was a drug addict, I thought they were friends of hers, I didn't realise she bought it off them.
