C2C leaving Dublin for Belfast.
Anyone in the know, is this for one year or a permanent move? Even if its just to test the water I don't think it will be back to Dublin. I'd imagine it will be more a success up Northand they will decide to stay. Probably easier logistically, keeping it in UK.

RnaG - Country Slot
Just wondering if anyone knows whether this is a regular slot 9-10pm? I listened to it on Tuesdays but other days it doesn't seem to be on and is normal chart music. Anyone know the reason for this and if there is more regular slots on this or other channels?

Country & Irish
I'm going to hold my hand up. I love me a bit of country & Irish music. It was always on in the house when I was growing up so I suppose some of my love for it must be down to nostalgia. I went to my second Nathan Carter gig last night. It was fecking awesome. Any other fans on here?

Anyone remember the name of this video/song set in a barn with some folks dressed up as cows
Anyone remember the name of this video/song set in a barn with some folks dressed up as cows and it also had country girls in gingham twerking to the camera. it was a foot stomper type song and I think it was made in the UK by maybe a one hit wonder novelty song group. It used to play all the time on Tiny pops for the kids…

Johnny Cash 20th Anniversary
On Tuesday 12th September it'll be 20 years since Johnny Cash died. I remember where I was on the family farm when I heard the news. It doesn't seem like 20 years. I was familiar with a lot of his songs then but it seems like every year since I've found another gem. The Grand Ole Opry are going to mark his passing. He was…

Why isn't Irish country music more popular in Dublin?
You never hear it on the Dublin radio stations, some Irish country artists popular in other places rarely play Dublin. I'd say most of us Dubs would only know the big names like Nathan Carter.

Tales From the Tour Bus - Season 1
I'm not a fan of most country but I got a kick out of this series. It's narrated by Mike Judge. The same Mike Judge of Bevis and Butthead and Idiocricy fame. Deffo worth checking out both seasons. Really hope there is a third on too.

Glor Tire? Reality TV and Country Music. Any opinions?
First off, I will readily admit to 2 things: I am not a fan of reality TV in general (be that Big Brother, The Voice of Ireland or whatever) and I am not a fan of newer Irish country music in general (with some exceptions). I am a fan of older, bluesier country music mainly from America although I do like a lot of the…
