I'm always on the lookout for the best Kodi/XBMC addons. I'd be grateful for recommendations from other boards users. I wanted to start a new thread for sharing recommendations as several users have expressed an interest on other boards forums. It would be great if we could get this stickied :D:D:D

My top 5 addons right now are...

    Navi-X
    Genesis
    Mashup
    IPTV Simple PVR Client
    Free Cable

Just asking peoples opinions on the best addons to use. What's wrong with that?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,301 ✭✭✭artvandulet

iStream for me. I barely use any other addon any more.
Especially for TV series due to the library integration.
The ability to auto play a stream based on selected criteria (quality, reliability - specific sources etc) saves on lots of button pushes too.

Will have to look up Genesis, never heard of it.

EDIT: Genesis looks very similar to iStream so I must see how it performs. Cheers

I use vanilla XBMC and OnTapp TV for my TV via paid-for services like FilmOn and USTVNow, works great and I couldn't live without it!

At least 2 of the addons you've suggested are used to get around paying for services.

Perhaps you could tell us what each of those does? I use xbmc, but not with anything extra.

+1 This is a great addon, I like to use it when travelling with my tablet. I also use filmon which works very well.

Anyone tried USTVNOW VOD? I haven't got around to trying it yet but have heard great things about it :)

USTV VOD is good. USTVNOW is a different thing for USA live tv.

The thing about USTV VOD is that while the quality is good, it takes very long to load. You also have to have some form of VPN sorted too. I'd rather use GoTV with autoplay set up.

Aside from that, its quite good.

Perhaps consider using the On-Tapp.TV plugin in combination with USTVNOW?
On-Tapp has a VPN built in for getting around region locks for USTVNOW and other plugins.

It does! I have a FireTV at the minute so I'm a bit constricted in that sense!

Try a google search for tv addons and check out the forum in there - a few problems in process of being sorted, worked for me last night....

iLive is probably the best and most reliable addon for decent quality sports streams.

Hey guys. Anyone here using any of the subscription services for sports? Iam looking for reliable streams showing all the premier league games along with pay per view. Happy to pay once the service is reliable and of good quality (HD is not necessary but a bonus)

If anyone has any advice /recommendations then i would be greatful :-)
