Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cantlay is so bloody hard to watch, how many times do you need to look at the damn hole.

    watching it early

the crap that Dechambeau was up to on greens was unreal.

The PGA don't seem to be buying into faster play at all .

    is it 5.5 hours

    ridiculous stuff

playoff not one pro of 3 hit green in regulation

    In a 3 way play-off, is it 1st, 2nd and 3rd, or 1st and joint 2nd?

Does Stanley share 2nd with whoever of the other two loses, even though he was eliminated first?

Dechambeau has the most unnatural looking swing. Looks like one of those machines they use to test shafts. :D

A very interesting debate going on on Twitter today about players not marking balls so as to assist other players. Read through the comments.

Really don't see the issue with this. It's within the rules

Forget the ball marking, Putnam needs the clock put on him, he’s desperate slow. Frustrating to watch.
DJ looks, decided and hits. Refreshing to see.

Par on the last for Power may be good enough for top-10,would be massive towards keeping his card.

Edit: actually only projected 120, thought it was higher.

It's not really that black and white. Whatever your opinion on it, it's causing great stir among the pros.

Jimmy Walker came out and said he would only leave it unmarked if it was a player he liked. Lee Westwood is close to calling him a cheat.

Na was excellent , needed a win after so many top 10s. The one who really catches the eye , finishing in the top 10 again is Joaquin Niemann. Only 19 he looks to be the real deal

It has gone largely under than raider to the casual fans and mainstream media due to it being a major week but it would be great to see Brittany Lincicome become the first female player to make a cut on the pga tour in the barbasol championship

Why is she playing with the men? I didn't think she was one of the top female players.

I believe, from an interview, she is familiar with the course & when she plays there she generally plays with men & off the men's tee boxes.

I think in a practice round they said she shot level par but was having to hit a lot of hybrids in to greens, so it would be a tough ask to do that for 4 consecutive rounds.

She's not top ranked for the women's tour but I think she's up around the top 10 in terms of distances (averaging 269 yards). That distance would be outside the top 200 in the mens

How many yards is she off the median though?
Ignoring the top 20 men, Im sure there are buckets of them with only a yard or less in the difference?

    /edit
Looks like she's ~25yards off the average which isnt too bad.

Not much talk of it here and only a minor event. But jesus how good is Dustin Johnson the man is now up to the same amount of PGA tour wins as Ernie Els and a few others. Just keeps churning out a bundle of wins every year.

Savage stuff from him in fairness.

19 wins on the PGA tour now with 3 so far this year, that's very impressive. Also, to shoot a 66 in the final round while leading shows where his game is at. I think it could be awhile before anyone claims that No.1 spot from him.

Some stats from the PGA website
Year to date: 3 wins, 9 top 10's out of 14 events played!!
Career: 19 wins, 86 top 10's and 235 events played.

    He's career earning is $54,479,689!!!

Anyone know if a win in the Barracuda gives a two year exemption on tour? As it doesn’t yield full fedex cup points I wasn’t sure.

    Searched online and found this.....

The Barracuda Championship is an alternate event, which means the winner does not earn a Masters Tournament invitation. The winner still earns 24 OWGR points, 300 FedEx Cup points, a two-year tour exemption, and entry to the PGA Championship.

Serious chance alright. By my count 4 more birdies with no dropped shots would do it.
