Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Also have the greyed out issue. received 2 survey invites today but couldnt take either, reckon its an IO problem not people being banned

I also got a survey on my google e mail page, clicked on it and just nothing happened. So maybe this grey area is some fault at IO.

    Thanks for the replies.
Button is working again this morning but you'd always wonder with Irish Opinions!

My button went yellow again just a few minutes ago while I was checking the site.

Obviously something went very wrong. Now back for me after an email reply stated
    Thank you for your patience,

We’re sorry to hear you have had issues with your Valued Opinions account. We have investigated the issue and your account is now active.

So this happens when your banned?

Definitely not.I got the grey shadow for a few days then I got the yellow back yesterday, but no surveys(just the no survey available message). Now as a twice banned IO panelist I was starting to get the "Deja Vue" feeling again. But low and behold I got a survey this afternoon and was able to complete it.So i reckon this grey thing is some sort of glitch, which they are sorting slowly.

Hi guys, I'm starting college in September (lol, like in a week), I've been telling surveys that im 'unemployed looking for work' since I started surveys last January. Im on a couple of sites and I'm not sure what to do about my changed circumstances.

I figure if I just start answering the questions differently red flags will fly all over the place, do you think that simply updating the information on the (extensive) home page questionnaires will be okay or should I email the company to let them know? It feels a bit silly since it's such a tiny change but I'd really rather avoid being banned from everywhere :D I'd be fine with emailing RedC since they're pretty nice in emails, but I almost don't want to bring any attention to myself on IO since they seem to be looking for the smallest reason to ban people. Anyone gone through a similar thing?

Yes I have done this before! I'll have to change all of my details again next week when I leave university, so it's the same thing again. Just update your profile on each site and there should be no problem. Just make sure that your responses match what's on your profile, and you shouldn't get banned.

The only time I've been banned from a site was when I was outside the country and MySurvey picked up on it. An email to them fixed it for a while, but they regularly mess my account up anyway. PM me if you need a list of more survey sites, I'm a member of dozens!

I got one from them this evening for a Euro. Took ages and I finished the survey but never got to the page where I rate the survey. Now it's not showing up in my survey history. Should I email them?

Sometimes it keeps the survey open and you can resume it when you log back in, failing that email them

I was almost finished a 20 minutes one on beer and cider and it came up that my answers were not matching please try again, I dumped that one straight away

The very same thing happened to me and I e mailed them. I took a pic of the page that was hanging but in the tool bar it said completed. So do email them as the more the do then they will know it's an issue..

It just has the name of the survey company and a thank you note. I'll email then. Thanks.

Maybe it just means there are currently no surveys available?

The button was yellow last night and when I selected take a survey it said none were available, which is the normal thing
This is not the normal way the site works, I’ve been a member for 6 years now on and off and this is a first

I know its not a usual thing just thought it might have been something they added recently but if you got the yellow button with no surveys available then obviously i'm mistaken

If they have changed it to this, then it wouldn't kill them to let member know.

It's a really bad idea to design a website to convey meaning using colour alone. It means the website won't work for people with colour-deficiency or some other forms of sight loss.

    “Survey service is unavailable”

Was the same as most here.Got the grey shadow for a few days(thought I was a gonner again) but the sun returned and got a survey. But each time I logged in the grey was back. What I did was,log out ,log back in and refreshed the page and after a second or two it changed to yellow again. Now today I got three surveys, ordered a voucher and all seems fine again.Don't know if this helps, but you never know. You never know whats happening with IO lately.

Grey box for me also but it was working in the early hours.

I think the grey box is in lieu of saying "no surveys available at present", as it comes and goes. They really need to tell members what it's about.

I have clicked take a survey over the last day or so and it’s been the usual hit and miss wether there’s one available, I was previously thinking he same as you but now I’m just lost

Yeah,me too.Haven't a clue whether I'm active or banned from IO lately. But can't understand why I was ever banned from IO in the first place. What the hell are they at?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,662 ✭✭✭OmegaGene

If they have changed the way the dashboard works then an email wouldn’t hurt, I checked my mates account and his icon is yellow and he’s no survey available when he clicks on it

I went to check my account due to the comments here and the take a survey button was yellow, took a survey, tried to take another but none available but button is still yellow. Not really of much help but at least it rules out the no survey available theory.

Yellow this morning and I did a survey. Back at the dashboard, still yellow but no survey available, refreshed the screen and the box went grey.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,719 ✭✭✭jluv

When I logged in this morning the button was grey briefly and said survey system not available. But then turned yellow and I was able to complete a survey.

Got a congratulations on being a member for one year message from IO. I decided to log in and ended up having to do all my profile questions again. Grr. I had them done recently enough too.

It definitely seems to be green if there are surveys and grey if none available. Every time it's live I get a survey and then it greys when all available are done. I emailed for them to explain but, of course, in reply. Maybe everybody should use the Contact option to ask them to explain.

No that’s not the case, I have no surveys available today and my icon isn’t grey
Every time it happens to me it seems to be grey for a week roughly and they sort it out when I email with a lame apology

    https://www.ideaspanel.ie/

IdeasPanel seems to be gone. I've checked on a few "is it down" services, and it seems to have been down for the last week. Does anyone know what's going on? I've been offline for most of the past week, but I have an invitation from IdeasPanel from Wednesday.

Just got the bullet from io, usual email accuracy and attentiveness and having a second account . Wtf the only noninformation I gave them was my bank details, oh well was good while it lasted, had just cashed out a €10 voucher thank feck.

Usual email...accuracy and attentiveness of questions, no second account played by their rules and still got burnt, I sent them off a stinker of an email but know myself it's a waste of time.
