Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not bad for a Publisher and Paint job! I had nothing else available to me! (Please ignore where I had the mouse over the image while taking the screenshot and it says "Picture". I intend to fix it at work tomorrow!)
ETA: Cloud is also getting a beard tomorrow. Yellow doesn't get a hat because Mrs Clause doesn't wear a hat!0 -

Phew!
My daughter has been having some asthma type problems over the last number of months. Our GP has kept saying "you'll have to get rid of the dog" and " the dog will have to stay outside"
she was getting really upset about it.
We saw a specialist today who says it's highly unlikely to be anything to do with the dog
I've one happy girly here now we still have to get to the root of her problems and will do over the next month or so but she is so relieved this evening.
Apparently it's more common to have allergic reactions to black dogs than white dogs
I really wish I'd asked why

She has hip dysplasia, and is now suffering badly with pain in her front paws. She's had X-rays which were referred to UCD for diagnosis, they haven't a clue!!! She has a bone lesion ( possibly cancer, possibly ligament) a shadow on her wrist, loose shoulder, and bow leg, on top of that she has something up with her liver that again they can't fully diagnose.
My family reckon she's pining for my dad, I don't think she's recovered from his passing at all, she was utterly devoted to him and hasn't been the same since. She's happy out on her walk, she runs/limps around like she has no worries but at home all she wants to do is snuggle and sleep. She just looks sad all the time. Jazz is gutted as her playmate is no longer interested in being annoying and running around the house.

Unfortunately Minnie had her last run around today, her pain had become unbearable so we had to let her go. I have posted a couple of pics in the departed pets thread.0 -

Ah the GP said the same to me - you're allergic to the dog blah blah... because my symptoms had kicked in around the time we got the dog which was just after I'd had a 'huge mass' (according to the surgeon) removed from my thyroid/chest which was wrapped around and compressing my airway but of couse it must he the dog and not that! I knew I wasn't cos I'd been allergic to the cat's dander so knew what it was like lol! Sure enough the allergy tests only showed positive for cat hair

That said I do brush him a lot and let him swim to loosen dead hair because if I let it go and he sheds a lot I might need to take a few puffs off the reliever. Also I find if I'm up at the dog training/daycare place and there's major grooming going on I feel it sometimes.
I got a grooming gadget on zooplus a while back (it was €30) and find it very good - it's not harsh like a furminator so does take longer but very handy the way it collects the fur in the bucket thing. http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/dog_grooming_care/grooming_tools/other/275986

Getting my first foster dog on Friday to look after for the Christmas break. Excited and nervous as its an older dog with a few medical requirements. Have wanted to foster for aaaages so decided to bite the bullet and go for it

A Maltese, you might know who im talking about if you follow one of the well known dog charities on facebook. She's a little ragamuffin and needs some tlc for a few weeks as she has both eye and ear infections.A proper OAP in dog terms but am delighted to give her a nice home to snooze it out in for a few weeksOh exciting what breed is he?

I seen her yesterday and was very close to offering to foster for the two weeks. I was going to today if she wasnt sorted. What a dote, she looked to have a yorkie nose!0 -

The kitties were screaming at my door so I got up to feed them and let them out, they turned their little pink noses up at the food and when I opened the back door they looked at me as if to say, 'you expect us to go out there?!' So now they are in my bed instead warming my toes 0
