    congrats on all the Feb arrivals.. just hitting wk38 milestone now, today is 1st day of maternity leave, and not a minute too soon, as struggling with sleep now so great being able to get up, then back into bed for more snooze time!

    so have organised hair, spa and GP for this week.. as well as Dirty Dancing show ... how else should I be spending my maternity leave :P
    have to do the labour bag pack, bit of last minute prep on baby equipment and baby clothes washing and think ok to go... I think I have perineal massage way down the list on priorities..;)

    Oh congratulations, that is great news! That was incredibly quick! How long were your contractions going before you left for the hospital?

    Congratulations Wmpdd3! lol I was asking on the pregnancy thread if you were having any signs of labour on your due date, sure you were probably home with baby at that stage!
    Omg what a fast labour! I'll be hoping for the same when my time comes!!

    Did you have much signs of labour before you left for the hospital?
    That's something that has me slightly nervous, I live a good 30 min drive from the hospital, I have visions of baby arriving at the side of the M9 :D

    I hope you and your little boy are doing really well after the birth & that his big sister is delighted with her little brother :)

    Have to find time to do the birth story but I had cramps all day Saturday. Only at 8:00 did I think to time them, they were ever 7mins but not painful at all. Rang hospital they said have some food and see what happens.

    Packed up baby no1 to friends house.

    By 9:30pm, I was having contractions went home, had bath, went to hospital at 11, baby out at 23:23!

    No pain relief, couldnt use gas while pushing....

    Hi and thanks:). on my first 2 sections i had to stay in for 8 days, so was very surprised to hear i'd be out so soon. was told that 4 nights is standard now, provided all ok with mam and baby. basically, it's a lot to do with needing the beds too, according to my consultant . you either get your stitches out before you leave, or go to your gp on day 6. this depends on your consultant. mine likes to leave them in that bit longer. excuse the lack of capital letters, am doing this one handed:o

    Hello!! I had my baby boy, the 17th of February :) a heavy 9 pound baby (and I am so tiny myself , didn't see that coming!!) his name is Lorcan Jacob and he is just unbelievable gorgeous!! Congrats to everyone !!

    My little man made an appearance after being induced. Overall, the labour was a positive and happy experience and we are delighted with the baby!
