Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's what I did to start off, but the problem with the ATR aircraft is low pax numbers, therefore low return per flight.
If I were doing it all again from scratch, I'd spend a lot more time researching the higher passenger load alternatives to the ATR aircraft. Maybe the Russians have something with a bit more bang for your buck.

It would be handy if there was a way to bulk buy aircraft instead of having to go into it every time and search for the aircraft. It takes along time.

Any advice really would be nice!

the advice I would give is the same as I posted a few days ago Starting guide
the main bit is sell the 737 and buy 25+ ATR 42-500 they are great planes cost very little but make great returns on your investment, buy fuel when it is cheep make sure you have enugh to last you till the next time fuel is cheep, and billboards when cheep. every time you fly them about every 3 hours use the cash to buy more ATR 42-500 till you have about 150 then move to larger planes.

    Fuel Low High
    Monday......€ 600........ € 800
    Tuesday.....€ 1,300......€ 2,100
    Wednesday.€ 400........€ 1,600
    Thursday....€ 600 ........€ 800
    Friday........€ 1,300......€ 2,100
    Saturday....€ 400.........€ 1,600
    Sunday......€ 800.........€ 1,000

    Billboard Ads Low High
    Monday......€ 5,000......€ 10,000
    Tuesday.....€ 15,000.....€ 17,500
    Wednesday.€ 35,000.....€ 40,000
    Thursday....€ 5,000.......€ 10,000
    Friday........€ 15,000.....€ 17,500
    Saturday....€ 35,000.....€ 40,000
    Sunday......€ 35,000.....€ 40,000

Leinster Airlines just bought first A380. Took me 2 days to save for it! Think that will be my tactic from now on...Just wait until I can buy an A380 and get them.

    Share price now €22.52...

    Kippy airlines here.
Currenly there about 40k shares in my airline available at stock price of 122.05
    Currently have over 500 million lbs in fuel, 140 * A340-200, 20*A340-600 and 19*A380-800.
All routes(179) averaging close to full capacity.

I've just started buying 3*A380-800 per 36 hours or so, after deciding to completely concentrate on these plane type at this stage of the game.
Route and plane numbers growth will probably slow to some extent, however, revenue will increase as will share price as I buy the behemoths!

Will also be in the market for buying 200K shares tomorrow so if anyone has any decent tips let me know!

Yep sell it. Get a couple of ATRs then slowly build up these (think 50 is a good number) until you can afford to invest in MDs, then build up lots of these. When you have 100 aircraft look at widebodies/longhaul, A340-200 or B787-800 are the best options.

Check out El Coyote's guide, linked about 2-3 pages back,

If you had an incident on one of your flights, usually causes it to drop. A couple of flights later, it will be back at 100%. Don't worry! ;)

I bought mine at $415M, sent it back to JFK and back. $250K profit each leg. Sold it for $352M.

Using that I bought an A380 and enough fuel to get me the Fuel Achievement.

I've just bought 500,000,000 Lbs of fuel. Next week I'll be going for the 850 fuel bonus. Share price took a bit of a hit but it's only tempory because of the fuel purchace. Like last week, I'll be expanding rapidly again in a few days with another 20 or so new A321-200's all on 95% + routes and the share price will rise fast.

This is a good time to invest in clown bag airlines. Get in before prices recover over the next day or so.

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 3,129 ✭✭✭Samson

I've just spent all of today's income so far on fuel, therefore share price has dipped a bit to $12.10, so it's a good time to buy.
I expect to be pushing the $20.00 mark fairly soon, as I'm buying another B747 every day.

At present have 500,000 shares available to sell.

    Invest in Rolo Air.

    Upcoming Company plan,

Concentrate on having the 100 flights from main hub - Dublin This has just been completed

Migrate all SH aircraft to A320 Family from the current mix of Embraers, Boeing, Bombardier.

    Purchase additional A380, B747-400ER & B777-300LR for LH expansion.

We are constantly monitoring the % demand of all our routes and cutting routes that fall below 90% mark.

You can have up to 400 routes.

What the "10 flights mean" is you can only simultaneously start 10 flights at a time using the "Start Routes" button (It took me a while to realise you could do this also.)

yep some routes are as low as 60% but have 2 planes servicing each route so am pulling in about €100 million a day as most flights are short-medium haul so can fly them 3 times a day :) and after giving all staff a raise 10 times I've a daily wage bill of €8 million so not too shabby :)
