Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That was me alright. How is it I never notice these tailbacks I'm causing? Maybe I need mirrors...

This morning at about 9:08am, stopped at the lights at the Leeson st corner of the green.... Black shorts(or tights)... I was cycling towards you from Earlsfort terrace on a white Giant. Was on my way to college to an exam so was in my own world and forgot to say hello or even shout "boardsie":)

Lovely morning to be out... was very jealous... a few seconds before hand I entered the sunlight and thought it would be a lovely morning for a spin! Hope you enjoyed!

Me again. Enjoy? If only. 3 minutes later I was in work. :(
I'm looking longingly out the window at all that sunny goodness at the moment. Real exam weather (good luck with that).

    Still...stopped at the lights, eh? I'm well-behaved so I am. :D

Very well behaved indeed! Although, breaking those lights would be suicide at times!

I'm beginning to wish I bought some boards kit! Although I'd prob end up making pointless journeys during rush hour and then spend half the day on boards checking if anyone saw me!

That'll be me too. Did you see me stopping for the red light at the Fenian St end? :D

Is my answer legally binding, your honour?

I only spotted you at the Pearse St end so I would not not like to perjure myself. Also, my own interpretation of the signals coming from Lincoln St direction on to Fenian St are slightly questionable (ie. the world's straightest U-turn across Westland Row), so my judgement on that junction is skewed anyway. I'm sure you complied with all applicable statutes, regulations, and byelaws.

You must be heading for some kind of record with the number of sightings you accumulated this morning.

For a short spin perhaps, but I think Mr. Daly holds the record for his recent epic 7+ hours spin out around NCD & Meath.

Old Jersey at the hippy cafe this afternoon, heading off in the Wicklow gap direction as I was having my coffee. Would've wandered over and said hi, but only recognised that it was boards kit as you were heading off.

Can't have been me. By 10.20 this morning I was halfway to Balrothery for a few intervals up to Ardgillan followed by a spin through Naul followed by a gorgeous scone and Earl Grey at the Grange cafe before heading on to work...

    About 85k in total.

Guilty! Didn't hear a shout, but that's not unusual because I'm always muttering to myself.

Were you on a black Planet X?

Think that might have been me again if it was - I didn't even realise you were there until I looked over my shoulder to make the turn at the roundabout at Lusk!

Viewing Point at Stocking Lane/Cruagh at 11am. You were stopped on the phone I think.

Don't expect anyone to own up to this one.

Cycling southbound on the M11 just north of Fassaroe shortly after
9am this morning. Clever move sir

(and to answer the inevitable question yes I did report it. Stupidity at its grossest)

Suicidal. Especially as the hard shoulder seems to be out of action further on. Not that anyone should be there in the first place.

Think I spotted Jawgap at the last roundabout in Lusk before the Blakes X road about 7.20-ish-ish Friday Morn (18th May).

Think I saw Claude near Glencullen yesterday morning, but not sure - rider's head was obscured by an odd glowing piece of headgear

Shouted Hi to a Boardsie in a new jersey passing the gate to Kippure at 11am yesterday (NeedMoreGears possibly???)

Later on, I broke a spoke on the Shay Elliott descent to Glenmalure, and had to open up the back brake fully to allow the buckled rim to spin freely. Thanks to Mr. Yunioshi and friends for stopping, and for the good advice about making sure the buckled wheel didn't rub and damage the carbon frame.

Home safe and sound with the front brake only, thanks.

Ah, that would be me, coming to the end of a personal W200. I always make a point of nodding at the MTB-ers at Ballinastoe, to make it clear that there can be peace between the roadie and the MTB-er. First time I've ever seen a Boards jersey on a MTB-er though.

That would be myself. I'm on that route 2-3 days per week but just broke out the boards jersey the last few days

Think I met a Boardsie incognito at the end of the Howth cycle track today, was wearing my boards jersey and had stopped to gobble a flapjack and got a hello, but my mouth was too full to respond :o

Today at 18.30 turning at the church in Shankill heading for Killiney / Ballybrack, matching shorts and jersey.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,004 ✭✭✭Hmmzis

Got three of 'em going home today.

First one was hading North through Harlods Cross around 18:10

Met two more on the Rathfarnham road later on, one was daragh_ if I got the name right (with the jersey) and can't for the life of mine recall his mate's name , apologies for that (was wearing boards shorts I think). Had a quick chat before our ways parted at Yellow House.

Forgot to compliment on their bikes, especially the PX, awesome machine :)

Probably me. It was a busy day for Boards Jerseys - I saw a guy descending Stocking Lane about ten to six, someone coming over the flyover by Lamb Doyles at 6.15 and a third heading North from Stepaside on the Enniskerry Rd about five minutes later :)
