Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Europe has messed about with the fixtures some amount, so I'm just going to stick with tonights matches.

    Shels -v- Derry
    Finn Harps -v- Waterford
    All to draw @ 32/1 - 1pt

What's your opinion on Sporting Fingal -1 for tonight's game against Drogheda?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,515 ✭✭✭Hoki

Fingal are the last team for me in 2 accumulators i'm waiting on so i'm hoping they win . They are playing in Europe on Thursday night & Drogheda have been battling well of late but hopefully Fingal will field a strong team & do the business.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,965 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

As I said I'm not betting on any team that's in Europe, just look at Dundalk last week, Shams who scrapped a 1-0 win against Galway, etc..

Alright, I didn't go for Sporting Fingal -1 in the end. I'm going to go for them in the Draw No Bet market, and also Under 2.5 goals.

Both bets look decent, say they were crappy odds though.

Fingal only got back from Portugal yesterday. A heap of changes in the team, tread carefully gents.

That's right, had a week in the sun courtesy of NAMA so most likely they'll still be on holiday tonight or eyeing up winning on Thursday.

why are they at evens when sporting are after a very tuff week.
is there something that im missing??
your thoughts as always would be appreciated....;)

Haven't a clue why Pats are evens tbh, and as you said Fingal played tonight and last week against a very fit team. There's no previews yet mate, basically today was the only time I'll be near my laptop til Sunday night so threw them up. Best bet is to read the reports on rte.ie and extratime.ie on Sunday before the match.

Sligo -1 @ 17/10 is great value and should add nicely to any accumulator.

Completely forgot to throw up my picks yesterday. Shels -1 were 28/1 and to win 3-0 were 60/1 supposedly.

No money on it, but Shams -v- Gypos has draw written all over it, 1-1 I'd say.

Will be having a few bets tonight I'd say, just waiting to hear the team news (fcuking extratime.ie) but it looks likely Shams could be missing a good lot of players, probably have them up around 6.

Balls! Bohs won 3-1 but poxy Cork only won 2-1.

Then Derry where the only team to fcuk up the accum, would have preferred Cork to screw us.

Sligo Rovers to win the League @ 9/4 - 10pts
    Returns 32.5pts

    Bray Wanderers to win the League @ 150/1 - 1pt e/w
    Returns 182pts
Each Way pays out on top 3.

Sligo Rovers are a class act of a team, having seen them basically dismantle Shams in the FAI Cup I think they have a real chance of winning the League this season. They probably won't lose any of their decent players and they'll probably bring in a few decent players, missed them at 8/1 on WilliamHill that rapidly went down to 9/2 after an hour.

Bray Wanderers, mental bet imo. If I remember rightly, if you only included Brays results from when Delvin took over till the end of the season, Bray were top. Delvins still in charge this season and I'm not aware of many players leaving them, missed them at 500/1 but I think 150 is worth an ew punt.

First Division odds ain't out yet, but it will be a toss up between Shels, Waterford and Limerick.
