Where are you guys watching college ball?

ESPN, BT Sports and ESPN Player are the main resources for proper HD/HQ games.

Anything that's not on there, you'll get on sites like FirstRowSports, VIPBox etc.

    jamarcus,
SC have had a very promising start. I think Saturdays game will bring them on a ton. How do you see their season going?
I see the ASU game as massive as I don't think SC can slow down their offense enough just yet. I also see SC running out of bodies by the end of the season when ND and UCLA will want to run on them. If SC gets momentum they could have a killer recruiting season to add to the super talent they signed this year. JuJu Smith and Co are a very talented freshman class.

On another note, it was great to see Meat Chicken get what they deserved this weekend. 38.0 would have been the ultimate revenge for the two Weiss losses, but ending their 30 year run without a shut out was great. I wonder will they try make another run at one of the Harbaughs for next year as there is no way Hoke comes back.

One last thought after seeing the great catches Jordan Westerkamp has made the last two weekends for Nebraska, is that he could have been a great target for Golson in Blue and Gold. He came so close to signing for ND 19 months ago and was a longtime ND fan, but he showed a lot of character in honouring his Nebraska commitment when ND made a serious push to flip him late in 2012.

You can also watch college games on NBC via their online player. They don't geo-block those games because they are not available over here.

Watched the first half of the Baylor/Buffalo game last night. I've seen some of Baylor's first three games and I think they are going to go very close to winning it all this year. Petty looked great last night when he got warmed up. Their D is the difference, best its ever been and when you have an offense like they have its gonna be next to impossible to stop this team.

21-21 now. East Carolina played not to lose and looks like it cost them.

Edit. Kick out of bounds, EC might have a chance to win it.

TD East Carolina. Amazing what can happen when a team actually tries to win!

Georgia - South Carolina looked like kicking off after a weather delay but more lightning in the area so they're taking the players off the pitch again.

And since CBS are re-showing the Iron Bowl from last year during the delay, some people think it's actually live. :pac:

Looks like it's finally getting going.

Georgia's play calling on defence is very poor. South Carolina have men open everywhere....non existant pash rush.

Looks like Georgia failed to turn up or Carolina found something. Not sure which

Their QB, Dylan Thompson is playing well. Big improvement all round on the Texas A&M game.

In fairness he is....but it be hard not too considering the space out there. Unbelievable green spaces everywhere, he is throwing some good darts tho on the big momentum plays.

I wonder what Georgia are trying to do, they are not playing Man, they are not playing zone. They cannot blitz effectively. One thing they are doing well is shutting out those sweep passes. Let South Carolina try and run it and win, keep those linebackers back and see can he throw into a bunched field.

Gurley also needs to get moving, but the offensive line are being blown up. Its time for Richt to deliver some tough love and earn that ridicilous wage he is on. For my money the play calling is poor....they aren't using enough of there talented freshman to soften up carolina and then send in Gurley.

Fine TD by Gurley.....great power on the 4th and 1.

Time for the defence to do something

This is the game for Notre Dame where they are going to have to dig in to get the win. Purdue are doing well, if they weren't giving up penalties this game might still be level.

Irish D needs to make a stand here on this drive I think.

Yeah, great run. He's having a great year.

    They always struggle against Purdue!

Defense in particular needs to step up in the second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Super catch from Robinson, great drive again from Golson, keeping it alive with great plays. Now please get a stop and then put this game away.

Lol, prob seen that the same time as you. Just looking away from the ND game fora second and my eyes nearly popped out of my head.

Just checking the stats out there and BC have close to 300 rushing yards with 4 tds. Tyler Murphy's stats are 5 of 11 for 54 yards with 0 tds and 1 int and 9 rushes for 71 yards. How can you be a winning a game with those stats from your QB.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Nice play from Butler, now come on Golson, put this to bed please so I can go to mine!

Lol, big commitment following American football in this part of the world. They haven't fixed the time for the Syracuse game in two weeks yet. 3.30 ET please!

Totally agree with Mayock that Golson is rushing too often. He will end up injured if he runs too often like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

16 pont lead with 5.30 remaining, not enough to be certain. I have to wait up for a while yet.

In other news USC held BC deep in the red zone to a field goal. BC now lead 30-17.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Delighted with that from Notre Dame. That was a tough game and one that could have been very easily lost but they got through it and roll on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Gonna watch the end of this USC/BC game before bed, USC have cut the lead to 6.

Tyler Murphy takes it to the house to pretty much put this one to bed. Thats USC out of the playoff picture I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

And the 2 point conversion to push it out to 14 with 3.30 left on the clock. USC just can't stop the run by the looks of things.

Oops. they got called for a penalty so its a 13 point lead.

USC just got a touchdown to cut the lead to 6 with over a minute left on the clock and all their timeouts intact.

This just got very interesting. It would be heartbreak for the Eagles and all their fans to lose this one at him after putting up such a great effort. I really hope they hang on.

BC get the onside kick. A good run on first down, in field goal range already.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

And its done and so is USC's hopes of a big season. Delighted for BC.

What a performance. 450+ yds rushing!

It'll be interesting to see how this USC loss affects Stanford's ranking. Both teams should drop into the 20s I'd imagine?

Florida should crack the top 25 this week I think, a lot of 3-0 teams to consider.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,719 ✭✭✭JaMarcusHustle

No team deserves to win a game in which they were so poor on third down, so can't have any complaints. Will still be an interesting season to see all these freshmen developing, and hopefully we can make a good bowl game.

Moving on, some nuggets from this weekend.
Texas gave Charlie Strong a Gatorade bath after beating North Texas. From that moment of bliss, it has been all downhill. UCLA won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. Texas’ captains then had a brain fart and chose to kick off. The Longhorns will kick off to start both halves. The ref even turned the microphone off to explain to the Texas captain what he was doing. And they still chose to kick.

gunnar kiel playing well in cinci pity he transferred before the golson thing last year would have been a much more interesting year with him under centre

  • Registered Users Posts: 64 ✭✭Chessrookie

    Hi,
Whilst Gunnar Kiel had a very impressive performance at the weekend, i don't think ND were too upset to see him leave last year.
Les Miles questioned whether he had "the chest" for College Football when he originally decomitted fro LSU to ND, whilst the word out of ND his freshman year, was that he was nowhere near as good as his high school billing (No 1 QB in the country), and that he didn't have the heart to compete for the job.
It was telling that he quit ND about a week for Spring ball commenced last year, rather than compete with Golson and Rees throughout the Spring. For all of Tommy's faults, i don't think Gunnar would have beaten him out last year, whilst i think Malik Zaire would have surpassed him on the depth chart this year.
The QB loss that hurts ND is Blake Barnett to Alabama, as he was committed to ND for about 10 months and he appears to be a really high end prospect. His loss increases the pressure on ND to sign one of Malik Henry or Shea Patterson in the class of 2016
