Can't wait for this either. I only played AC1 for the first time around a year ago and then played through AC2 & BroHo in quick succession.

I really liked the multiplayer section of BroHo so I'm probably most looking forward to the improvements in that section of the game. I would be tempted to get this at a midnight opening but my local gamestop isn't participating and I don't fancy a trip into Dublin city centre.

I was trying to decide which to get between this and Saints Row 3 and had decided to go for SR3 and get this at Christmas but looking at the story trailer, I think i'm gonna just get this Tuesday instead. Looks too epic not to pick up! Plus I never finished the 1st AC as I got bored with it after a few hours, would be nice to give it another go for free!

Read on Wiki that preordering this in Gamestop automatically upgrades you to the Signature edition for free. Anyone know if this is for GS in Ireland too? Also, anyone know when the embargo for the reviews is up?

Signature edition is US only, the special edition here is exclusive to GAME.

There's also the collector's edition and the animus edition for the mad / rich.

Ah this wil be the 1st game I pay full price for this year so def can't splash out for the collectors and would prefer not to give Game my money. I will prob go with HMV.

Pre ordered the animus edition for 99 yoyos, think its only Gamestop that will have it. A bit pricey but i'm a huge fan of the series

Argh, gamestop.ie wouldn't let me order the animus edition for Xbox! Only had the PC version, even though they have several pics on the site of the xbox version... ugh...order the std. ed.

So many games, so little time. Still haven't finished Deus Ex cos of college, have barely played fifa 12, now this and SR3 in the same week, and Max Payne 3, Mass Effect 3 in Q1 of 2012? *OVERLOAD!!!!!*

I went for the Animus edition and couriered delivery too. No sign of it yet but I'm not sure it would actually come today. Seeing as it's a Monday, they would have had to send it on the Friday evening. Think that's how they work the delivery. Send it out in the evening, gets delivered the next morning via courier. Suppose I gotta wait and see really. I do hope it gets delivered today though, even though my copy of Skyrim from Amazon arrived this morning too.

Have the Animus Edition pre-ordered and the statue pre-ordered. Went into GameStop today and they showed me the statue (which is pretty class!) and the Animus Edition and said that anyone who has pre-ordered the Animus Edition on PS3 gets the first game for free and discount vouchers for AC2 & Brotherhood! Yurt!

Isn't it every 1st run copy of revelations on PS3 gets AC 1? Handy for me as AC 1 is the only one I'm missing!

He didn't mention that today, but it's a possibility. But's it's definitely only on PS3 anyway.

They really should just turn AC into an FPS franchise and hav done with it, then the reviews would be a lot more favorable.

I didn't find it's result to be atrocious, an 80% rating can't be consider to be bad, it's just not Skyrim.

At least, they're maintaining some level of quality and variety for AC unlike MW3. :P

I hope to f*ck they don't have glitchy trophies like Brotherhood. I remember not unlocking for for finding a shrine or something even though I had found it. Not like I could get the platinum anyway tho with those rediculous MP trophies.

I think the 100% sync trophy will be the hardest this time.

Oh....There's a 100% sync throphy. EEeek! That will be touhg. In borther hood I managed to do the 100% sync on my mission most of the way through, but I gave up towards the end. that could be too hard perhaps. I havent looked at the trophy list but I do hope that there arent any trophies that require boosting to complete in the multiplayer.

Right, just home from GameStop with my Animus Edition and i said i'd take a few (bad) photos to show those of you who didn't order it, keeping in mind it was hard to hold in my excitement while taking these...

The Statue is very detailed, and looks like no expense was spared. It will be staying in it's box forever more. The PS3 Animus Edition came in a beautiful looking box, angled slightly, with a holographic front and sides, it looks like you're in the Animus.

The top of the box is plastic covered in felt with "ANIMUS EDITION" and the Assassins logo raised from the surface. Lovely.

Inside is the Encyclopedia, which i dare not open just yet as i want to play the game. The game comes in a black PS3 jewel case, and inside it includes the booklet, my uPlay Passport which gives me and exclusive character "The Sentinal". Also included on disc is Assassins Creed, a seperate disc for the best of Soundtrack, and there is a voucher for 30% off Assassins Creed II & Brotherhood, but i have both so first shout gets the code!

Finally, included is Assassins Creed: Embers - An animated movie of Ezio's final journey, and additional in-game content. I'm off to play it now!

Anyone know how it works with Nightline if they cant deliver it? Will they hold it until I am here to sign for it?

My Animus edition just arrived anyway! Unfortunately probably won't get to play it till Thursday 'cause I'm busyish, and also...Skyrim. Don't know why my brain didn't stop me ordering so many games around my busiest week in a long while. Also have Uncharted 3 to finish.

Sickened!! Called HMV this morning and booked the last Collectors edition they had. Was gonna call in after work and they ring me back saying it was a mistake and they don't have any left. I was looking forward to the collectors edition and all. Anyone know anywhere else selling it in Limerick and how much? It was 62.99 in HMV.

Well for anyone else interested, I rang around and got the low down on the collectors edition. I booked the last one in extravision for 60 quid

Game didn't know if they had it, they said they had some edition for 74 euro.
Gamestop only have Standard and Animus edition.
Smyths is sold out of collectors in limerick but cost 59 euro
Xtravision have the collectors for 60 euro
HMV have collectors ed for 62.99 but sold out in limerick

edit: Anyone can confirm how AC 1 works on PS3? Is it a seperate disk or a download voucher?

I picked up the Standard Edition on PS3 in Game Limerick this morning for 99c + Batman AC. Sticker price was 49.99 There was another version there for 54.99 with a soundtrack and some other stuff but I wasn't interested in that.

There is a voucher code for access to AC 1 + 30% off ACII and ACB

Right, so after playing this solid since i posted this morning, i can safely say it's Assassins Creed perfection all over again. I'm only onto the second DNA sequence and i'm getting overwhelmed by the amount to do. It's a struggle to keep up.

The gameplay seems faster, and it's definitely harder than any of the previous games, if it wasn't for the abundant amount of health potions i would have died alot (damn pikemen surrounding me!).

The new additions are cool, but the Den Defense is going to take a bit of getting used to. Just lost a Den and retook it, and had to take a break to get food! And i know i've only just scratched the surface.

For anyone who has the Vlad Prison download, don't do it straight away, the reward makes some weapons that you would normally buy redundant.

Also, for anyone else that's currently playing the game, in relation to the first mission you send an assassin out to do by himself,

has he come back yet?!? My lad is easily gone for the last hour i'd say, the mission is something to do with a prince in Busla (or something like that, the first B in the list) and it has no completion time! And he's not dead.

Anyway, so far so great!

Should hopefully be picking this up tomorrow. Can't wait to get cracking on it. If it's anything like it's predecessors I'll be awake until some stupid hour of the morning thinking "Ah I'll just do one more mission.....then maybe another" :pac:
