Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nice one Pyong, glad you bought it as if not that'd be an extra €200 making its way to my credit card right now. And I have absolutely no bloody way of playing the thing at the moment!

Any idea which revision it is?

It's the Japan version. Meaning it has all the good stuff. :D

I've not secured it yet. Locked in talks with the seller. Fingers crossed.

Big thanks to Mr. 76 for the heads up on that one. :)

Missed out on Garegga PCB. Seems someone else got there before me. Oh well, probably for the best really if the board is oxidised. I'd rather have a mint one I guess.

Bargain price though, thanks for the tip off Andrew76. :)

No worries, shame about that but maybe a bullet dodged if there was something seriously wrong with it. I would've been looking for pics of that jamma edge to see how bad it was.

There's one for sale over on shmups, silly money though and only US buyers.

I was pondering DX again today and PCBs in general, it's a shame they don't save high scores after power down or better yet save your gameplay like the console ports do. Well the old ones don't save scores, not sure about those new Cave ones that are out of my price range anyway. :D

That's one feature that impresses me about DX on the PS1, you can save your last game play run if you like. Think it only lets you save one (on the one memory card) but dead handy nonetheless. Ketsui and Raiden IV on the 360 let you do it too.

Hmm can't see it staying at that price for another 3 days to be honest, but best of luck with it.

Same here! Looks lovely doesnt it?

I see he has it in one of those VGA boxes which you can actually remove the bottom to take the game out. More display cases than 'forever seal up your game until the end of time, never to be played again' cases.

I wouldn't mind getting some of them to put stuff on display. Would say they're pretty expensive though.

Yeah it looks the business

He got that case made by the VGA guys, which I'd say because its them was expensive to say the least

Do they have any kind of UV protection on the VGA cases? Or is it just plain acrylic?

It is indeed. We need to bring an NSDT system as the lack of regulation on them at the moment is causes havoc on internet forums all across Ireland. That bloody government.*

Or is it all this VGA stuff just bull$hit?

    More research required me thinks.

They're a self appointed group who encase rare games in acrylic cases for a fee. Then some muppets on ebay advertise them & it drives the prices of games artificially high. Nonsense if I ever seen it.

We should create our own version for Ireland. We could call it the Irish Retrograding Association, or I.R.A for short.

    Ohh wait a second....

The sad thing is that it DOES seem to increase the game's value. Whether that's warranted or a load of ****e is up to you to decide - but if you want to sell on a particularly rare and expensive game then it definitely wouldn't hurt.

I suppose the best thing to do is to see how much their fee is and then judge if the increased value is more than that.

It's almost like having a rare laserdisc that's not available to watch anywhere online and not ripping it for the world to see. Except Darius Alpha roms are all over the net and about a 10 second google search and download away.

There's actually one going in a store in Akihabara at the moment that's not listed online(or at least I couldn't find it but my connection is really slow and crappy at the moment). Going for ¥87295 apparently(so they do know what they have). That was two days ago(a friend seen it) but they usually take a while to sell from the stores.

I only wish it was a decent game, but its a pile of poo.

If it was me I'd get rid of the Seimitsu's and put in Happ buttons for a proper woody cab feel. Sort out the layout too. Depending on what you'd put inside the cab would determine the number of buttons needed. I'd stick with a PCB or maybe an MVS 1 slot and a multi-cart for some Neo Geo fun. Be nice to see a pic of it with a game in action to see if the screen was ok.
