Whenever I see The tax man as last poster in this thread, I allways open it with an air of anticipation. I have yet to be disappointed. At least it's not runners! :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,557 ✭✭✭The tax man

I've had my eye on that frame for a while. Pulled the trigger when I saw they had dropped it's price. With an extra discount they ran on frames it came in at €577. On their Irish site it's nearly €1,300. No brainer really.

Lenny are you bringing your new toy out to play on the 9th for the 25 mile TT?

Last two rounds you could pay on the night so maybe use contact details on link to see if it's ok to do same on the 9th.

I've had a set of those wound up forks..
    They provide an interesting ride..
    In a good way

I came across the forks completely by chance on another ti bike in the lbs. The style is exactly what I was looking for and any reports on them are great.

The finish on them is amazing.

I had them on a ti bike too..
A REWEL .. Little known Italian maker..
The forks give a ride reminiscent of that on a colnago masters straight blade fork..
    Very fast change of direction..
The damping of road buzz is excellent and as u say the finish I excellent..
Added bonus ... No "lawyers lips" on mine

    Unstickered Enigma

Rain stopped play for the day at that point.

I'm searching for the "did something to my bike thread" to post that pic...

Those Swiss side wheels look class, seem like pretty good value too.

Bad me - just pulled the trigger on a pair of shamal ultras from bike-palast.com. OK, so my other wheels are teeny bit off-true, and a pain to work with (campys, have to take off the rim tape and mess about with nipples from that side), but 40 quid to the LBS would probably have them spot on.

They just look so nice, and if they make me 3kmph faster they'll be worth it!.

    Savage wheels..
Real benefit is when you accelerate ..
I have eurus a few years and moved to these recently and without doubt thy are the best " normal" wheels one can get at this price point..
Had kyrisuim SLR's last year for a brief period but sold as I couldn't see a performance difference between the eurus and SLR that was worth the price differential (50% more)..
Can feel it on the shamals however ..
You'll be glad you didn't leave the credit card at home !

yes, lovely. They've a few nice wheelsets on the website, and if the quality is any good, the prices and weights are very competitive.

So many wheels, so little cycling time.

Dunno about riding a Hardon all the time, tho, bound to start chafing

i know everyone is looking at the wheels, but i have to ask, is there ANY seatpost left in the frame? :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 430 ✭✭delynet

@mossym, yes there is. Got a proper bike fit done with Padraic Marrey a few months ago and he jacked up the saddle. Something like 82cm from bottom bracket to top of saddle.
