Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    We have 162 units, worth €6.25 each; total value €1012.50, some 30 years old, mostly bought in the 90's.

    Total winnings to date: €775.

    Most bought as 1 units or 2 units for birthdays etc.

    So don't think it matters whether you buy a big amount of consecutive units, or not.

    over all it looks as if prize bonds are not a good 'investment' better off to put the money on deposit

    Unfortunately they are my daughters PB's! But she always gives me a cut ;)
    The first win was just a few months after we bought them, and the second win was two years later. I hope we won't have to wait another two years for a win!

    Yeah you might win about €5,000 - €7,000 but then your €25K is gone so you lose about €18K

    Cash them in and buy some new ones, almost everyone on here who buys a €1k or more seems to win the €75 a few weeks after, goes very quiet after that though...

    Hi,
    I have just noticed today the the €20,000 prize was won by somebody in the USA, how could someone in the USA buy prizebonds, if according to the prizebond website they will only accept online purchases from Irish addresses?

    I have about €10,000 in PBs. Have won 8 x€75 (€600) since June 2007. I get €50 worth each month by Direct Debit. However, I notice that all winnings have been from blocks of consecutively numbered bonds. So in Jan 2012, I cashed in all the small blocks of 8 bonds and reinvested the proceeds in another block of consecutively numbered bonds. Since Jan 2012 I have won 3 x €75. Last win was in June, so I'm probably due another win fairly soon.
