VB was like a school Principal there fed up hearing the same tired excuses from a schoolboy for not having his homework done.

Here comes Higgins with the usual Labour are the sell outs and not the true socialists.

We could get a little battle here between the two Joe's.

Joe Higgins fairly got told off there...

Elaine Byrne lost a lot of credibility when she refused to put her money where her mouth was and run in the last election. She's happy enough to take the Trinity salary and write her books...

Who can left-leaning people vote for these days? Labour are nothing more than Fine Gael lite, The United Left Alliance have too many loonies among their members and the Shinners can't be trusted.

VB was trying to get them to call each other Joe there, could get rather confusing easily.

The body language of Elaine Byrne and Fionn Sheehan spoke volumes on how they view him when Higgins was waffling on about Liverpool.

The bravado of Gilmore before the election is laughable.. he's been completely anonymous since..

Have political academics ever made good politicians?

Amazing how VB always has that clip ready.

I heard him speak before the Edward Carson lecture, he does stumble over his words. Higgins is a far better public speaker even do its waffle.

No, just academics from St Pats.. :pac:

Costello is like a rabbit caught in the headlights. He hasn't a clue.

Jesus this is one of the worst performances by a politician i've seen in a while.

He needs a better spin doctor to brief him.

getting angry listening to him. not a breeze. he's just tossing out the same old rubbish.
Every time FF is mentioned I want to punch to screen. FF are gone, FG & LAB have the reins now - time they took control.

Yeah, it's a sticky wicket for him, getting hit with a lot of hardballs.. but it's a really poor performance...

Jesus if Sheehan is right then Dr Reilly is tearing the arse out of the public purse and raking up expenses needlessly.

The whole "did you meet Lowry" thing is a load of b*ll*x... He's an elected representative and if any Minister refused to meet Lowry (who has been elected by the gobshytes in North Tipp) then they would be accused of subverting democracy..

Costello playing dumb on the increase in expenses....bet he'll be quick on the uptake when it comes to claiming for them!

  • Registered Users Posts: 51,652 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

"Beam me up Scotty" impression from Costello there.

Yeah admittedly it's hard to defend this stuff.

Elderly relatives had to use him once in an emergency, Reilly was around the next morning bright and early to get payment. The guy loves money. Suddenly now he is defending Denis O'Brien, must be looking tips on shares.

it's time for a new party. it was time for a new party last time, but the country had too much of an appetite for sticking a knife into the chest of FF.

if something radical doesn't happen next time (and I don't mean SF&FF taking power) then all hope is lost....

On one hand I agree. On the other hand Lowry is dodgy, FG like to make a song and dance about having thrown him out of the party, yet it seems he has the ear of every minister in the FG government.
Lowry had findings against him - yet it means feck all, business as usual for him.

He is not slow in accessing grants for his properties either. Greedy cnut can't keep his snout out of the trough.

I'd say Vinny's getting tired of shooting fish in a barrel at this stage.

Did Vinny just give it a dustman's blow after reading that last headline?
