Its no less out there than bringing the Lebanon into it, as the thread was beginning to nosedive into the usual Mooslim-hating rubbish.

Not that far out there. Some Irish soldiers were killed by a relative of a man they killed in a firefight in Lebanon as a direct reprisal. (captured and executed).

And I never said anything about "Mooslims." Privates Barrett and Smallhorne were killed (and O' Mahoney wounded) by a Christian.

Strongly suspected the killer may have been or still be a soldier, more than likely one of the disgruntled soldiers who had been sacked for displaying "neo-nazi" behaviour (posed for a photograph with Hitler salute in front of Swaztika).

Some of the UK tabloids are running *that picture* in their features. Not seen it printed by the broadsheets.

This'll provide a very perverse backdrop to the upcoming elections, with the right wanting to become the mainstream, or rather, to catch a wider percentage of the vote.

Will be established pretty quickly if its one or all of those discharged paratroopers now that its asserted in the media the French want to question them. If they don't come forward by today its almost certainly them. In which case their they should be tracked down very soon and hopefully no more victims of the murdering f*cks

Only danger is they now go on a last minute spree ot take a death by paratrooper exit.

If its not them, well only time will tell. I thought it may have been Basques at first given the attack on the soldiers, but almost certain to be a white nationalist motivated attack given they have massacred Jewish children and as it turns out the soldiers were from ethnic minority backgrounds. Scary thing is they almost certainly seem to have military training given they could take out three soldiers.

Jesus Christ !! According to indo he cornered the 8 year old girl, put the gun against her head and then executed her. He was also appears to have recorded it. Where do you even start with a psycho like that

Yeah that was my first thought on reading about this as well. Nice job sarko you vicious little midget, and now we learn that people don't oppose racist rhetoric just for the laughs, or philosophical reasons.

Cunt will still sleep soundly in his bed tonight though.

Oh come off it. That's the same logic people use when they say violent video games and marilyn manson lead to school massacres.

Sarkozy's comments on immigration had nothing to do with these attacks. Its an insult to the victims to suggest they did.

By pandering to racists within France rather than standing up in clear opposition, I would say yes, he played a part in enabling these actions.

Obviously he isn't directly responsible but he has been sabre rattling recently and playing to the Le Pen wing for support. Politicians need to be very careful with words when talking about immigration.

Very sad case, needs to be condemned by everybody.

    They've ruled out those guys.

Ex Paras Nazis Hors de Cause

    Summary and translation:
The three French soldiers dismissed from the army in 2008 for neo-nazi activity were ruled out of the investigation into killings in Toulouse and the surrounding area, according to a police source.

"Two of them were interviewed last night" said the source. The third was interviewed last week and ruled out after the shooting which cost the lives of three soldiers from their ex-regiment.

What are you implying by noting he was sabre rattling? He's not even indirectly responsible. Right wing nuts would see him as a traitor to whites for simply being part of the establishment. They couldn't give a toss what he has to say.

If anything Sarkozy sabre rattling would have the opposite effect because people might be less likely to be drawn to extremist views and fringe groups.

No doubt that Sarkozy will use this to his advantage, especially with the left-bias we already get from mainstream media outlets.

I don't think a 'human' can sink any lower than shooting an innocent child at point blank range. When they apprehend this dog I hope he's last hours on this planet are filled with the most horrid degrading acts of sadism ever inflicted to a man, I hope they disembowel his filthy carcass and hang him by his ankles until every last drop of bitter bile flows away, I hope he feels the engulfing dark fear of the abyss as the gates of hell open.

Everyone just quiet down for a second, let's all remember what we have always been told.France doesn't have a race problem....

France has a huge race problem (as does pretty much every other country that has a significant non-white population).

Of course, this very tragic crime is now new ammunition to use against people that want to oppose mass immigration.

Its election year in France, Sarkozy isn't doing great so he has returned to that old stomping ground that played a big part in getting him elected, immigration:

Nicolas Sarkozy Decries "Too Many Foreigners" In France as Presidential Election Campaign Heats Up | Global Spin | TIME.com

Le Pen's daughter is proving a threat and probably taking some of his natural vote and the sabre rattling seemed to be gaining votes, up in the polls:

Election Pandering Decried In France And Abroad | Global Spin | TIME.com

Coincidental, yep but politicians have a huge responsibility to be measured and not inflammatory when talking about it, Sarkozy couldn't help himself, the immigration debate was reignited, got more and more press and then we get this attack.

I'll let people think what they want on it, totally unrelated or some lesson to learn.

Was this a hate crime of some kind or simply random?

    Raid on Toulouse Shooting Suspect
Police hunting a gunman suspected of killing seven people in southern France have surrounded a flat in Toulouse.

The man, named as Mohammed Merah, 24, a Frenchman of Algerian origin, has said he belongs to al-Qaeda and acted to "avenge Palestinian children".

Police are negotiating with the man, who is still said to be armed but says he may give himself up this afternoon.

Two police officers were injured in exchanges of fire during the raid and there are reports of a fresh blast.

Fair play to the police tracking him down so quickly, before he's the chance to kill any more innocent people. Hopefully they can bring him in alive so they learn any more about fellow like minded individuals around the country. Don't make a martyr of him whatever happens!

Oh my, a Muslim who hates Jews. That's such a surprise, it's TOTALLY unprecedented.

I mean, it's not like Muslims teach their children to hate Jews at 3 years old or anything

Why is it when a right wing extremist does things, right wing extremism is blamed, but when a muslim extremist does something, muslims get blamed?

Why is it this thread is only a few pages long? Does nobody care now that he's not a white "nazi" anymore?
    Glad they caught this lunatic.

It's a good point, people confuse extremist behavior with the whole faith.

It'll go to 20 pages, now that its revealed he's a Muslim. Anti-Islamic sectarianism is trendy, as seen with the un-moderated post a few replies up.

When Anders Brevhik went on his murdering rampage there a while back, the PC-Left on this board gleefully siezed the opportunity to tar everyone is was skeptical of multiculturalism or anyway critical of Islam with the "lunatic murder" brush.

Considering that these appear to be the rules, I wonder if now is not a good time to ask if there's a link between Islamic rhetoric (y'know, like 3 year olds "knowing" that Jews are apes, pigs & Prophet murderers, and that Muslims have a religious duty to hate Jews etc) and the anti-Semitic acts of the people who are obviously raised on this kind of rhetoric.

There's a definite problem. One that won't get any better by alienating the moderates in Islam.

By the way there's serious propaganda in Israel against pretty much the whole world.
