Can't have a go at a dead man i know the next best thing let's go after his kids. Discusting his kids are under 4 they have no idea what any of that stuff means as another poster said there priorities were food time nap time, play time and favourite cartoon time.

Did I disagree vehemently with Charlie Kirk yes 100% but I can also call out a growing trend of people been attacked for there position on politics. Happening here too

Not real. It is based on what he actually did post after the Queen died when he was promoting his Black Adam movie, but the one about Kirk is fake.

The staff in the TMZ office were cheering in relation to another story they were watching/following at the time, a car chase. They were heard laughing in the background of the CHarlie Kirk announcement video, but not because of Charlie Kirk.

News organisations (as loosely as I use that term for TMZ) follow multiple stories/events at the same time. Not everyone would have downed tools and solely focused on Charlie Kirk.

As bad a look as it was (and TMZ have acknowledged and apologised for it), they were not cheering for anything related to Charlie Kirk.

I agree with you up to the last line. Its not just the left that can be intolerant so can the right remember the reaction by some on the right to Paul Pelosi attack. But hey all are human and you will find intolerant people in all camps

Did Trump post an AI video of him talking about the death of Kirk rather than actually going to the Oval Office to record a video ? Isn’t that somewhat disrespectful/lazy ?

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

He was discovered by Trump jnr apparently about 10 years ago - he’s spent his time in Universities giving talks to students about the MAGA way and apparently was instrumental in converting students into MAGA supporters in certain swing states in the last election -maybe not single handily got Trump elected, but a hell of a lot of credit is due to him in certain swing states. He’s very close to the Trump family apparently - hence a lot more than just an “influencer” - his name is now martyr status in MAGA circles and I imagine even more young people will flock to the cool aid.

As to Kier Starmer’s reaction? I’m assuming this is just another opportunity to give Trump fellatio

feeling sorry for people is sooo woke.
    Charlie wouldn’t like that.

Immediately before the shooting, Mr Kirk was taking questions from an audience member about mass shootings and gun violence.

“Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” the person asked.

    Mr Kirk responded: “Too many.”

The questioner followed up: “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last 10 years?”

“Counting or not counting gang violence?” Mr Kirk asked.

Then a single shot rang out.

Jaysus. Sounds like the scripted ending for a movie.

I can't believe some of the people in this thread. If you're revelling in anyone's death, or murder in front of their family in this case, or excusing it, or rationalising it, or dismissing it, or making light of it, you're not a well person and should reflect on your own issues before inflicting your issues on others by communicating.

So many clever posters deftly expressing "sympathy" while dismissing a murder, you're all so intelligent, very impressive.

I'd imagine there was always an element of nerves around this. I'm amazed Robbie Roadsteamer hasn't been shot yet, he's definitely going to be nervy after this but I don't see him stopping.

the same rats on here who show such disregard for the people of Gaza are shedding a tear kirk. Very predictable

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Kirk was raised and a product of ultra conservative (fascist) indoctrination.

He was like those adult children raised in the Westboro Baptist Church. Brainwashed but willingly partaking in the worst kinds of rhetoric.

Kirk made a career and millions of dollars indoctrinating an entire generation or real life Eric Cartmans. And now in his death, he will be used as an excuse by trump to crack down on all his political opponents.

Every political activist who is brave enough to speak out against Trump will now be a accused of being political extremists and will be rounded up by Trump's fascist regime.

The final act of the fascist takeover is about to begin.

But he wasn't an elected official or person of note who contributed anything to humanity or the arts, etc.

The Prime Minister should not be paying tributes to him like he was, nor should any other world leader.

    It's bizarre.

Trump announced that all American federal buildings would fly the flags at half mast. Trump considered Kirk to be a central player in his political regime

Netanyahu also gave a tribute to the man. He was a vocal supporter of Israel and had the ear of Trump so perhaps that is why Starmer commented on kirks death.

Who is revelling in his death?
I think people are finding the irony delicious - pro-gun sh1t stirrer gets shot whilst stirring sh1t. That his past statements are coming back to haunt him (excuse the pun) is also delicious.
To be fair, I think the those who have similar leanings are somewhat glad that he is dead because it gives them the opportunity to display some faux moral outrage - just like your post really.

It doesn't matter what Trump thought of him.

He was a social media influencer.

The Prime Minister of Britain should not be posting about him like he was a an elected official.

Also I would be pretty sure Trump doesn't give 2 flying fooks about him.

The difference is the right wingers were always demonized for not being kind enough or tolerant enough, the lefties held themselves up as being paragons of virtue and everyone else's lack of kindness in comparison to them was the problem.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,750 ✭✭✭Jack Daw

Fair enough, I'll retract my criticism of TMZ, the rest of the points till stands, you can find loads of posts on twitter where people are expressing their joy at Kirk being murdered.

"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage."

Political assassinations are becoming more normal by the left to silence people. They know people are no longer following their agenda. Tried twice with Trump.

Matthew Dowd fired from MSNBC for saying that Kirk had said "terrible things" and that 'saying terrible things leads to terrible consequences'.
