    2:40 Mossley

Don't you want to see how much rain falls, if any?

JCB Triumph Hurdle - Smad Place, Zarkandar, Unaccompanied (all antepost)
Vincent O´Brien County Handicap Hurdle - Alaivan
Albert Bartlett Novices´ Hurdle - Kilcrea Kim
Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase - Kauto Star
Christie´s Foxhunter Chase Challenge Cup - Baby Run
Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys´ Hurdle - Shoegazer
Johnny Henderson Grand Annual - Shoreacres

All again are backed e/w (apart from Baby Run)

Shoegazer is backed as the trainer/jockey did me good turn as the brilliant Buena Vista won again today. Had Shoreacres in the Bumper few years back and the supreme novices the year after.

And finally Kauto Star, who else, why back anything else when you can back the greatest chaser for a generation!

Its looks like it'll be a few mills only.

    0mm - 8mm

Dermot Weld says he'll pull Unaccompanied if theres not enough cut. He might be tempted to let her take her chance even with the ground not in her favour. Worst place to be as a punter.

Unless at least 8mm falls over night I don't want to see Pandorama line up.

If you were owner of a horse like Pandorama would you really pull it. Would be a gut wrenching thing to do considering you have been waiting years for a live Gold Cup chance.

If the horse is fit and well you'd have to take your shot. You may never be back again.

There is a line. Noel Meades line is on the cautious side. He's already worried about the horses inexperience over fences so another year under his belt wouldn't harm him chances.

I'm not sure what I'd do if I were the owner. I think I'd be cautious of the horses well being and longevity, though its hard to say.

If it were a race outside Cheltenham it would be an easy enough decision. However Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

You could have 1000 horses who would never get near the thing with a realistic chance.

Glad someone else is backing kempes! Very much in with a chance imo.

    1.30 Sam Winner

    5.15 De Boitron ew

Still deciding on other races, thinking about Kempes but if it rains any way significantly tomorrow I'll be on Long Run

IMO its a very poor Gold Cup tomorrow.
There's a case to be made for a good few of the runners

I would find it very difficult to oppose Sam Winner tomorrow in the 1:30.

He has a course & distance win, including another at Cheltenham over Grandouet with virtually the same distance as tomorrrow. I would discard his recent 4th place as it was on terrible ground, there will be a bit of cut tomorrow if the rain falls and that will suit him perfectly.

I had a nip at 10's last week and have gone in a bit heavier now at 6's. Price seems to be dropping and I suspect it will be 5's tomorrow once the Ruby backers get on.

I fancy Long Run and Kempes in the Gold Cup, only thing worrying me about Kempes is I'm not sure how he will handle the pace of it. I will probably give him a miss for that reason and have an e/w with Long Run. An open race all the same but can't see the winner coming from Kauto Star, Denman or Imperial Commander.

    Good luck to all

Its from a friend who is over there, it was definitely raining within the last half hour, said it had started around 10:30 pm.

is he as drunk as my friend?

BBC calling heavy rain in the early morning. No point in worrying about it. Either it happens or it doesn't.

Possibly, he did seem very enthusiastic over the rain. There will have to be more over night for it to change the ground obviously but after a hot day it is a good sign for those who want soft ground.

Unaccompanied in the 1:30 would like it soft, but if it doesn't rain too heavily and the going is good-to-soft than that is perfect for Sam Winner.
