Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Annie Power tomorrow seems to be the favourite for all of Ireland :p

Anyone notice that there's one guy doing all of Ireland's ads right now :S

He was the elf in the Meteor Xmas ad (where he turns into an elf), he is in some car insurance ad, and now I just saw him in an ad as an Airport security officer for a Cadbury's chocolate bar.

    Any Phantom listeners out there?

Raging the two Richies are getting the sack - best thing on the radio was their show. And the Irish Richie was well versed in his WWE history too! Not sure what's gonna happen to the station now - heard just three of the staff will be kept on.

This is going to be a long match, kicking game hasn't been perfect but clearly we can score tries better be careful not to give away too many penalties though machenaud seems to be on form with the boot . Gotta start contesting these high balls better too Kearney might be the best going in the air but can't always get up from full back so someone else has to. We can def control the scrums though

On a side note I keep thinking we have D.Bryan in centre such is the epicness of Darcy's beard

Edit: Sexton could cost us this if he doe sent improve his kicking

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,469 ✭✭✭✭GTR63

Hope them 5 points Sexton managed to miss won't haunt us. I hope

    Both misses were pretty dire.

It's a pitty we no longer have a quality backup out half, hopefully he can turn it around though, Paris or not this French team is beatable

Could see a French sin binning for their prop too if there isn't a change

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,840 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

One way to make sure your kicking isn't an issue keep scoring tries under the posts yourself

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,126 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

Well he's making up for his kicking somewhat with tries.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,840 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Far better and a 2 score lead now c'mon ireland keep it going

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,840 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

I was saying in the rugby forum, if we lose cause of something like that, it'll be a joke.

Would agree although I think a try was coming, potentially a yellow too

Still leading but French on top Atm but the changes disrupting play a little

I'd rather Ireland lose to something that's an actual score though, rather than the wrong call.

Jaysus lot of pressure on Madigan here, hope sexton is ok... Thankfully the lead remains after that kick, long last 10 though

Mourned the lost of Phantom years ago to be honest especially their weekday output. But the loss of The Two Richies made me the saddest of the recent cuts.

Nobody else was ever going to get it, I'm a Munster man but I couldn't be happier to see the Leinster legend go out on top like that. France showed up today far more so than any other time I've seen them recently and no matter what it's hard to win in Paris, now for bod to have a good cry

wait what Villa beat Chelsea as well today! awesome... A little embarrassed as a Villa fan that I completely forgot that game existed due to the Rugby but hey thats a nice surprise, your welcome rest of the league (though im not sure if id prefer City to win the league tbh, but like the idea of Arsenal though thats less likely)
Jose Mourinho is about to face the television cameras. He is already in spiky mood. Asked what he made of the result, he replies " I made it Aston Villa 1-0."

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,469 ✭✭✭✭GTR63

Think I am happier that Mourinho got beat than I am about Ireland winning.
    What a wanker he is.

Say there'll be some atmosphere regardless of result. Not looking forward to watching it on TV so best of luck over there :)

Hardly against the odds united are at home and improving.

Our home form isn't up to much recently, and other than two wins against bottom quarter teams, our form has been getting worse. On top of that, we have only managed a single win against a top side this year. Add to that how hungry Liverpool will be and I would definitely have United as the underdogs going into the match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

I'm hoping for a mass riot that see's both teams deducted 30 points. Somehow, Chelsea and City run in and get the same penalties :D

To be honest this sounds like united fans playing it down so they can rub it in to the Liverpool fans faces when they win and they will. I'm so confident united will win I backed them minus one.

Good luck. I base my opinion on having watched United play this season, and there is plenty of reasons The bookies have Liverpool as favorites. Genuinely wish I had your confidence :)
