John McGuinness states that the people have not got the money to pay new taxes and he's right.

Niamh Lyons:"I was talking to somebody in the Department Of Finance, and they said the debt was being treated like a war debt situation".... But who is the Department Of Finance receptionist to speak on such issues anyway.

How many times over have they spent that Pension Reserve Fund at this stage??

    100/52 = 2 Euro a week?

Nah. No doubt some people genuinely can't pay it but what a mountain has been made out of that particular molehill.

In Budget 2011 Tax bands and credits were reduced by 10% - this increased the average tax someone paid by the best part of a grand and the level of complaint was tiny by comparison.

Not to mention the fact 60 % of people have already paid it.

It's in the Ulster Bank. Nobody can get at it anymore.

It's a Home Tax noodler. I am not paying a tax to live in my own home, even if it was 2c.

    You will.

Just like every other first world country.

At least now your being honest that it is a matter of principle rather than cost.

It's residue from the giant cloud of spray he creates by talking.

Citizens don't get to pick and choose their taxes.

How about I don't pay my income tax this year because I dislike the a lump sum somebody in the HSE got when they took early retirement?

Yes, for another thread but you brought the HC up.

"There are vested interests who don't want a Banking Inquiry" -- John McGuinness.
Now why does that not surprise many people?

I often find myself scratching my head wondering why on earth John McGuinness ever joined Fianna Fail? . He seems far too honest and too straight for that shower of gangsters.

Income Tax is based on my wages and goes to pay these cretins.
I paid for my house and site and it's none of their business or concern.
