Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Loving that pic...best of luck with them Dossy.

Any harm asking how much the 910s were. I see they are gone from most online shops, although I imagine they are still in the shops.

Picked this up in the sale on in Carr Golf (Spawell) last night, picked up another pair of AQL's too.
That's her Christmas shopping done for me! She hasn't had to make a decision on a present since I started golf

First proper windbreaker type top, will get a run out on St.Stephens Day in Ballybunion  (had to squeeze that in somewhere ;))

Don't look into them or your ball wont be the only thing that gets lost.

Ok, between the new purchases, the talk of the Atlantic Challenge and Ballybunion confirmation today, I am a bit happier than most Mondays.

Haven't posted in here in a long while.

    Since then I've picked up
    Cleveland Classic 3 Putter
Nike 56 Deg (Still getting fixed, should be ready tomorrow)
    Covert VRS with Tour Shaft

Everything except the 52 Deg Tiger Shark and putter are second hand but I'm really happy with them. First time today using the Covert and put way too much pressure on it after a fantastic last week with the R9 460. Before anyone says it, I found the R9 had a bigger dispersion on my bad shots over the Covert hence the change.

Also the other half just told me she will be paying for my 3 day membership in Rathcore so I'm delighted :D

Wow. Earlier this year I saw an R1 in a pro shop around the 400 euro mark before going to the first tee and seeing a guy using one. That's an incredible drop in price. Congrats by the way :)

Got my Covert in Navan GC (Carr ran) and seen the R1 for 200 odd. Pity I couldn't swing it to save my life :o

I did get the Covert for 135 though :D

Thanks, they had a sale on over the weekend and at the weekend I live only 5 mins from the Spawell so decided to stroll up. My overtime pay gone already :)

The big thing I found with it, and after an evening in the range in Athlone tonight, is that my bad shots aren't as terrible compared to before (though that could be rose tinted glasses from a new toy, I'm sure they're really still atrocious :pac:)

Got the sale in Mcguirks today. Was looking for something in 210 to 240 yard range - Diamana - Blue - Stiff.

Much nicer club than the Superfast I had - could never get that club, and in the end have not played it for a year. So nice to have a new option off tee. I hit the ball low - so may add a small bit of loft.

Played a round today with the Covert and found it much more penetrating. I had a habit of ballooning the 460 which the Nike seems to have cured. It's more than likely from the shaft. I was playing stiff in the R9 and X Stiff now in the Nike

Got given a free 60° Cleveland Rusty wedge today aswell :)

Did anyone buy a golf course at auction today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,958 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

Yet Dossy - mine is 15 too - wrong stock photo.

Yes was hitting it out there - as long as a poor drive. But bad shot not as wide. Shaft feels amazing. You feel you have control of clubhead.

Ya i went from using an R7 3w with 55 gram shaft to a Titleist 913F 82 gram shaft, felt like an iron bar compared to R7 but it did stop the really high launch and ended up in the fairway so cant complain :)

My wife got me a Scotty Studio Design 1.

Had been looking for one as any time I tried it (my mate has an old one) I can just forget about the pace of my putts, for some reason it goes the right distance every time.

I've used a Newport2 for about the last 8 years. Feels like I'm cheating on it now with my nice slim Studio 1. :(:) Time will tell if she's a keeper or a mistress, I won't file for divorce just yet.

    Keeper or mistress, she's gorgeous!

I've always lusted after these type of blade putters (circa 62 #1 etc...). Unfortunately I putt better with a mallet style. Ugly but effective.

Nice putter Dr. R , had one but replaced it with a hot metal x 8 a while back. Really love the blade putter & have used one for more years than I care to remember. Stick with it & hopefully you will reap the benefits.

So a lad on here told me I needed a face balanced putter - so here we go again - it looks like something that could derail a train. But - needed something to shake up the putting as could't hole a thing. So sometimes a change gives me a new frame of mind - all in the head.
