Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Mendes to win in round 4 25/1 and Mendes to win in round 5 33/1.

Like I know Its unlikely but surely if Mendes can avoid being knocked out which he has done in the past after heavy shots. Watching the Embedded and hearing Mendes say I'll win in the third is he banking on the fact that Conor might get gassed from the wrestling and a 5 round fight? is there any value to those bets at all?

They are 25/1 and 33/1 for a reason. If they enters the champuonship rounds it probably goes the distance.

Lads im gonna do an accumalator while im over there to add to the excitement

Im doing Conor and Lawler so far.

Ye would know more than me about where the value lies for the rest of the card. Any suggestions ?

Lads sorry if this isn't allowed.

SevereMMA have a deal going with betfair for new sign ups.

    http://severemma.com/2015/07/get-41-odds-on-mcgregor-to-beat-mendes-at-ufc-189/

4/1 on Conor to beat Mendes, max stake is 10 but you get it back in a free bet if he loses.

I'm only posting it because we get a kickback from every account. So you're helping us with our coverage!

Value would like more in going for the method of victory.

Straight up bets id add in Bermudez,Almeida and Pendred to the accumulator. Gunni has a tough fight so wouldnt be as confident of him getting the win here and I think Seery could go either way but possibly lose on points.

But if betting with my heart id always throw a bet on the Irish lads getting a boost from Conor being on the card and go Seery, Gunni, Pendred then add in Bermudez, Almedia and add all that to your first 2.

If you win I will collect my 10% commission payable on your return, if you lose then you never got those tips from me :p

Personally think Rorys going to go out a put on a masterclass myself, my opinion might be slighty swayed by the fact i hate robbies voice haha

I went with a tenner on Mendes, Garbandt and Brown (who's odds are big imo). I was going to add in Pendred to win or that fight to go to decision as well, but I've lost money on too many Pendred fights before so I won't bother.

Its such a tough fight to call. I think Lawler has the output to be able to take a decision, But I could see Rory finishing him on the ground.

Cathal Pendred on Points @ 5/4

Also the first one should be MOVs, so it must not be displaying right. I'll just delete that post and type it up instead.

Just bet for the first time on MMA.

    Conor KO @ 5/6
    Gunnar Nelson Submission @ 11/4

I did this in Paddy Power bookies, but noticed after they had more options online.

Online you can pick KO/Submission with odds. , but in the store the said I had to pick either KO or Submission.

Any one else experience this before?

I think if Mendes is going to win, it'll be a first round stoppage. I can see him making it past the first round, but not the second so I've put on the following three bets with PP.

    Mendes by Sub in 1st - €5 @20/1

    Mendes by KO in 1st - €5 @10/1

    McGregor by KO in 2nd - €5 @5/1

Not sure on Gunni myself, said it previously to another poster looking for bets. Thatch is a big lad with plenty of power but im hoping Gunni can get him on the ground and tire him out and get the sub late on in the 2nd. Wasnt sure on Seery either, feel it could go either way or he grinds out the points win and as for Rory and Robbie im avoiding that like the plague..could go either way and would go nuts to have everything else come in and lose on it so just stayed clear.

If the Seery result was different (KO) in Dublin I would have cleared 3500 that night. Been close a few times to decent wins, usually have an accumulator on with MOVs for decent odds, usually 1 or 2 let me down in the end but I always have a few small singles on which covers any losses over the month.

like your thinking on that one and may have a couple of euro on gunni in the third at a big price (20s)
my biggest fear is that he'll stand with thatch

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,462 Mod ✭✭✭✭Axwell

Im hoping he just decides to play it sensible and get the win, Thatch delivers nasty knees and has knockout power. Gunni can take him to the ground, drag him around for a bit and Thatch will gas for sure, Gunni just needs to stay out of danger then lock in that RNC. If he tries to stand and bang then Thatch will win for sure.

I got just over €1800 last year on an accumulator. It was squeaky bum time in here that night while I was just waiting on McGregor to finish it off for me.

Apart from that I've been one result away from a few monsters but that's about it. Usually, the accumulators are just for fun.
