Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    If clancy's +4 is available then we will defo go ahead with this and then hope

    1. Folers23 is aware of the change in time and turns up.

    2. We can grab someone in the mean time.

    4-on-4 is playable so worst case we'll go with that. We'll just be knackered at the end.

    Ok 4-5pm booked and confirmed available so we have a minimum 8, maybe 9 if clancy +4 is available.

    Jen told me its €30, so that must be the last slot at off peak. Thought on peak would start at 4pm but obviously I was wrong. So €3 each lads.

    That give us 8. Thats grand with me. I'll make a few calls in the mean time but I know most will be tide up but I'll try anyway.

    8 will do. I'll try and grab a couple floaters in the gym.

    EDIT: On the block booking, didn't ask at the time. I can ask later and if possible block book it ourselves. Rate will obviously be €4.50 instead for the 5-6pm slot. Was more interested in getting this week sorted with numbers.

    Well lads, the 4-on-4 was tough going but it wasn't bad.

    Spent the first half of it trying to keep down a lasagne which I had just before the match. :pac: Second half felt much better as the old stomach settled.

    We all found out where are fitness levels are at and where they need to be.

    WRT next week, we'll have to see with the numbers. As one of the lads was saying today hes trying to get a group together for a weekly game in Delta but needs more people and we are basically in the same boat with struggling numbers so the wisest thing might be to just go with the Delta arrangement. We'll have to see if the timing of that suits the people on here if not we can continue to try and get numbers for a game in UL.

    I'll PM clancy my details as I'm pretty sure it was one of his mates that is setting up the Delta match. Anyone else who's up for going to Delta can pm clancy as well I suppose.

    2 of the lads who played last week are setting up 2 games a week in Delta so I know they won't be available for this.

    Considering the lack of numbers it might be better to play on the astro. That way there is no worry about bookings or money or numbers as there are usually people to fill in or a game to jump in to.

    Just make sure someone brings a ball and yer sorted.

    I think 5pm was the best time for people. People can post to confirm that.

    Ok people, I'm posting this again as I like to keep up the tradition of at least trying to set up a weekly game of football. This isn't always successful but if you don't try then you never know!

    So read the following...

    OK here we are again, start of a semester and I'm looking for 9 committed people who want to play indoor football once a week @ €3 per person (Off peak pricing aka during the daytime. Nighttime would cost more, €6 pp afaik).

    First I want people to post a message if they want to play and who trusts themselves to be able to plan ahead and set aside an hour every week (I know how difficult that sounds but believe me its achievable ).

    If we get enough replies to make up the numbers, then we can start discussing the most appropriate time.

    And finally if all 10 of us can agree a day and time, I will go book a court in the arena (Hopefully the time we want will be free).

    The sooner we sort this, the more chance we have of getting our most suitable time so the ball is in your court people (No pun intended ).
    The indoor aspect is not negotiable from my POV as going outdoor just opens up a load of problems that I would rather avoid. Its hard enough just getting people to turn up for an hour nevermind debating whether the weather is suitable.

    N.B. This is open to anyone who likes to play whether you're a world beater or a novice. I see it mainly as a way to improve my fitness which is probably at an embarrassing level ATM.

    Any questions just ask. I'll give until the end of week 2 for this to be arranged, if this doesn't take off then so be it. I won't be sheding any tears over it.

    Yes. Your gym/pool membership doesn't cover the courts.

    Anyway I'm on Coop so I'm not available for the first time in my UL adventure.

    Sorry about this lads but don't think I'm gonna be able play today, somehow managed to trap a nerve or pull a muscle or something in my back and can hardly move. If it manages to improve in the next hour or so I'll be there but I can't see that happening, spent the last hour in bed in the fetal position.
