Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jeez why does everything cost so much. When I get my money this week and I pay for my vet nurse congress weekend in Mullingar and a couple of other things I'm gonna have less than 50 euro. Doubt I'll get to see bf for a week or so which sucks. :(

He's gone away for the night, it with his mates back home. I'm at home alone and it's made me realise how much I rely on him and his company. It's pathetic how lonely I am without him and how little friends I actually have. I'm sitting in with 2 cats who couldn't even be arsed staying in the same room as me

Orla K, I love the "new" google maps too.

Almostnever, I've been thinking about what your friend said. Any chance he might want to come out to you or something? A friend of mine worded it similarly when he wanted to talk about it.

I feel like bursting into tears right now and I can't work out why. I've been like this for a week now, even managed to cause a stupid fight with my boyfriend last night.

Wasn't helped tonight by finding out that my best friend doesn't like my boyfriend and then meeting my friend's boyfriend for the first time and he didn't turn out to be all that great either, especially when started trivialising depression, claiming that gay men can't raise a child, and just generally being a little offensive. I feel horrible for not liking him though, especially seeing as my friend is pregnant with his baby and I really want her to be happy

He sounds like an asshat. You shouldn't feel bad about not liking him. It's not as if you've picked on something trivial about him, it's the fact that he's not a nice guy. I'd find it very hard to be around him.
I hope everything works out for your friend.

I don't know. I'm worried that because of the mood I'm in I've taken him worse than I should have. I'm not sure whether he likes me either and stuff like that really upsets me, I get really paranoid about it and it does affect the way I take things.

But then, I know how upsetting it is when you're friend doesn't like your boyfriend, as I'm trying to deal with that atm as well so I feel exceptionally bad about it, not that I'm going to say anything coz that's not fair either.

Same here and I've gone through all the news channels. More importantly - nothing on Facebook!

Also loads of my friends are changing their relationship status to single. Thought about doing it for a laugh then realised it's a ridiculous joke

My best mate who hasn't spoke to me in 6 months cause she's been "busy" asked could she come to the pub with me and my mates today for the match. She hates football and silly me thought maybe she just wanted to see me (I sent her a text a month ago saying I was going through a bad patch and could really use her support- a text she never replied too).
I've had to cancel going now cause the OH's dad is sick and I'm heading over to help out in their house.
Now she's pissed cause she can't go without me there . Turns out she just wanted to go to see a mate of mine who she had a 1 night stand with last year who she hasn't seen since (I warned her before she got with him, he's not the 1 woman type and a night with him really would be a 1 night thing).
She never even asked about the OH's dad or made an effort to hide that she was only going to see my mate, not me.

Ooh that's a good one, if I wasn't already engaged I totally would've done that! :pac:

Edit: Neyite I like your one, that's funny. I really wanted to fool boyfriend by suggesting we have a baby between now and the wedding but I know I'd die laughing when his face fell suddenly so no point trying!

    Pissed off with my dad.

Was meant to ring him this morning this morning only he was out at the time and said he'd be home shortly. So I asked him to text me when he got home and I'd ring him them, no reply.

He's going on holiday and is leaving at 11.30am, so no chance of me ringing him now.

Considering I haven't spoken to him properly since I was over nearly two months ago you'd think he could spare five minutes of his time for a chat.

I haven't spoken to him on the phone since sometime last year, it's always text/viber/email/Facebook. Yet when anyone else needs/wants to ring him he's got some free time, but when I, his daughter, wants to ring him it's a different story.

*hugs for you* I think you're right to be uncomfortable around him though, he does sounds like a bit of a pig. Maybe you should see what he's like if you meet him again though. I can't imagine why she doesn't like your bf though tbh, the way you talk about him makes him sounds really lovely.

I'm no Gay Byrne fan, but come on, he has a family and friends too. And he willl die some day, and they will be devastated. It's not really something to joke about, in my opinion.
