Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Skype seems a bit much, seeing as we both are in the same university...
I'm here 9 til 6 most days, I can usually sneak in a quick coffee break.

Otherwise pop along to minds, I'm usually there.

It's cold in my house. I'm hiding under my duvet with electric blanket under me and laptop warming my legs.
    Stupid heating breaking.

I'm in the same boat, We normally have the heating set to come on for an hour in the morning & evening but the landlord was in doing some maintenance over the weekend and turned it off. Housemate left his bedroom window open all weekend too so I came back to a freezing house that's only starting to warm up.

I live in my family home, the heating keeps going funny. It went a few weeks ago and dad fixed it, but now the restart button won't work. No hot water either! Using my neighbours for showers!
    No plumber until Tuesday!

I have a paper that is due today, but my grandad is very ill, so I'm doing this when I can. It's nearly finished though.

I would've gone to that organ donor thing... if the mail to all students telling us about it hadn't arrived on the same day as the actual event. That's happened a few times now. It'd be helpful if they even gave us a single day's notice.

Depending on your subject, chances are you wouldn't be graduating with many of your classmates anyway. I was in a group of whatever, 200 or so maybe more? I knew 2 people. They did it alphabetically, not by subject.

Could be a lot worse. I know other some other universities call you up by grade, not alphabetically. I think that's profoundly unfair personally. You may graduate with your class, but everyone in that room knows exactly who got the lowest mark.

I'm after finishing an essay that is due in an hour, exiting windows and forgetting to save. Windows is set to autosave every ten minutes, so I know it's somewhere. Am in Library. Would anyone be able to help me?

I'm fairly sure that it's only alphabetically for Arts. I crashed a grad or two and they were all per degree.

No, unless you are doing the 4 year degree.

    DCU has a bigger venue.
Some degree courses are always in the later graduation regardless.
All of Science and Engineering just about in the Aula.

I know certain postgraduate courses are always in the later graduation dates - especially those with submission dates in the summer.

I know lots of the history courses don't graduate until 12 months after they finish their courses - a bunch of my friends started their masters with me, and even though I graduated on Halloween, they won't graduate until next September.
Graduations are grouped by faculty, generally - arts takes several ceremonies, science and engineering graduate together, social science graduate together, that kind of thing.

You just need to turn at a steady rate to stay at a constand temperature.
