Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should I be preparing a short story/composition now to write on the day
My teacher told me I had to write one and anyone who wants to should have one prepared and adapt it to the title. I guess it is a good idea so you'll know what you're writing. As long is the title fits it or even have a few plans.0 -

I'm not preparing any short stories, just going in on the day as I find it best to think of one on the spot rather than remembering one and trying to adapt it, so I guess it depends on the person wether to have one prepared or not.0 -

For short story I just have a character prepared who I can put in any number of depressing situations. When I write a short story I usually don't even know what's going to happen until I write the ending :L I think I will try to have some general idea of a storyline prepared though, as the questions are usually quite broad and easy to work with.
Genuinely made me LOL.

I always make my stories tragic - in my last one the mystery was the identity of a girl who cheated on her boyfriend by kissing another girl, crashed and her body was so badly mangled that it became a mystery. Got 100/100. :P
Jaysus, fair play!! :eek: You'll have to PM me some of these A1 stories after the Leaving. :P Any ones you've typed up that is. 0 -
Thanks :P I got 98/100 in another because my teacher thought I misused a word, turns out he didnt know its true definition but he wouldnt upgrade me :pac: Got 96/100 after that but I dont even know where I lost the 4 marks ;_;

The first two are basically my two templates, although the car crash one has a nice little twist in itAfter reading peoples stories maybe I should try and come up with one now :L. All this talk of short stories is making me want to do a short story.
If only I had learned last year that the key to short stories is little or no dialogue! The only one I did got my highest ever mark (a B1), but my teacher said I was brilliant at short stories and should do one, just my dialogue wasn't great. :pac: Bit late now! :P Plus I can't write a short story in less than a week, let alone in around an hour. :eek:0 -

The mystery being solved was grand, did a great one for that but the fairytale one...eugh. I'd love something "inspired by the image". :L
