Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mate of mine is doing a big clearout of his games consoles, passing them onto me, along with his games.
    Why is this important?
Well, firstly, I'm going to try to shift the stuff I already have on Adverts...
Secondly, he is giving me his Gamecube as well, together with Zelda: TP, I bought it for him as a gift back on release and he never played it, planning to hang onto that one for myself!!

Let me know if theres a Saturn in that lot, sold my one a while ago and need to get back on track with it

This arrived this morning. Andrew76's incorrect guess. :D

This is the super rare widescreen CLV edition of Gunhed (the movie of the manga of the PC Engine game, in that order I think too). NTSC-J, CIB. Never produced with an obi (apparently, according to extensive research). Still in it's original cello bag I think too. 100% crispy minty fresh. :)

Another good day, Tengai and Sol Divide arrived, a mere three days after posting from France, which is nice.
Both horizontally scrolling Shumps, both by Psikyo games as well.
Tengai was originally Sengoku Blades and be careful googling that one at work, there are some definite NSFW model kits available of one particular well endowed character.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,750 ✭✭✭ghostchant

Neat, I picked up Sengoku Blade for the Saturn when in Tokyo last year, the two-disc one (actually don't think it was released without the bonus disk on the Saturn). Haven't had a proper chance to play it yet though.

    Hooray!
Two more packages arrived at lunch time!
Castle of Shikigami 2 for the PS2 and my beloved Fire Shark for the equally beloved Megadrive.
I always felt my PS2 was one of the most productive consoles in terms of the amount of gaming goodness that it gave up. But now, with all these excellent shooters, my love has increased manifold, despite most of that generations Shump kudos going to the Saturn.

So, with all these games coming across my desk, I must say sense a certain thrill...

This must be how Pyongyang feels all the time!

You're building up a nice collection of shmups Ciderman, excellent stuff. Got a couple of PS2 shmups this week too, will throw up some pics when I'm able.

Two that I've gotten recently. Very happy with Super Off Road as the box is in excellent condition and I love the game!

Anything game marvel game is usually a get for me as well, despite a lot of them being poor.

Winter gold boxed + complete on the snes came this morning from a chap on adverts, only one of 3 super fx 2 games along with doom and yoshis island. All in good condition, cost me a tenner. Isn't well known and wasn't released in NTSC regions. Game is ok bought it more for collection reasons, but the graphics and especially the menu animations are damn impressive for the snes

This finally arrived today. A minty clean Gekirindan Taito F3 cassette and a Japanese F3 motherboard.

The motherboard has been modified to accept cassettes from all regions. :D

Quite surprised at how bloody enormous the cassettes/carts/whatever you want to call them actually are. They make Neo Geo MVS systems look like a Neo Geo Pocket!

    Fu5rj.jpg

EDIT: Might as well add this one in as well. I'll have this later tonight, Darius Burst iOS in pupil-smashing retina display colour! :D

Have to play it with headphones for now, my TV is a bit crap but going to get some passive external speakers for it tomorrow. It's a thing of beauty. Only problem with it is that it looks gash on an LCD without scanlines. I'd love a CRT but until I move home I can't get one. I've been lurking on the neo geo forums, the games are surprisingly nicely priced... shipping of course is a whore on these carts.

Just picked up the well reviewed Kid Icarus Uprising, haven't played it yet.
It's in HMV for 39.99 and that's with the 3DS stand, a piece a plastic that comes with it's own instruction book, together with warnings, some game owners must be pretty thick...
Anyhow, comes with a nifty set of cards, presumably for AR functions, tis a good day today!
Should have Twin Hank for the MD on Monday as well....

Just picked up Kid Icarus in HMV too. I'm not even home yet and I've managed to drop the HMV bag on the ground twice. Made a noisy thud. Hopefully the silly plastic stand cushioned the fall :)

I was rather disappointed to find out that the circlepad pro is only used to allow lefties, satan worshipping goat shaggers they are, to play with a circlepad, instead of the lesser option of the buttons on the right side, which is only as good as the deviants deserve.
I had hoped that the extra analogue controller would've allowed the targeting reticule to mapped to it, avoiding having to use the damn touchpad, alas it was not to be.
Luckily the stylus controls are ok, looks amazing by the way, very nice.
Has a very Super Smash Bros feel to it, with the presentation, manner of unlocking bonus etc all lifted straight from the latest edition on the Wii.

You can't control the game with both circle pads? what?!

So Nintendo felt the need to release a horrible black add on to get around the problem of not being able to dual analog stick control, release a game which everyone has been waiting for (and is billed as using the add on) - but does NOT use it's primary function?

The mind seriously boggles. That's really after pissing me off
