Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    LAW ABIDING CITIZEN

The kiddies better be fecked off to be early Wed night
    at 9.35 on RTE 1... :D

Unless they want to bump into the first payback scene which puts
    Dexter into Disneyland...

    ;)

About the only memorable thing in the film unless
you're 14 and into the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE yokes...

    :P

Not a bad effort of a film though if a bit confused.

Check out the classic BODY HEAT

on RTE 1, late, very late...

    next Saturday. ;)

It just might, just might maybe, make me forget
the version first I caught in The Carlton Cinema
    on first run...

    Some...scenes...were...missing...

I wouldn't mind seeing this again but it's not showing up on DigiGuide.

Whatever else you might say about RTE they have tended to never cut their evening movies.
When UTV butchered their films (Lethal Weapon) RTE always showed the full version.

The 2008 remake of Let the Right One In is on Film4 tonight at 22.55pm. Saw it in the cinema and thought it was a good show.
Scene with car crash was spectacular. I really felt like I was in the car. Watching on tv probably doesn't have same effect though although the size on some tv screens these days....!

It's the Swedish original that they're showing. Superb film. The American remake is called Let Me In. I haven't seen the remake but the scene you describe isn't in the original.

Whoops, sorry. I didn't realise the original was such a recent movie. Is 2008 still recent? Im loosing all track of time..:pac:

Tonight (22:15), TG4 is showing A Scanner Darkly: Richard Linklater's version of the Phillip K Dick story, about Big Brother and drugs. Keanu Reeves is very good as an undercover cop who loses his perspective entirely, and Winona Ryder is great too. It uses a "rotoscope" process, painting over live action frames, and the whole package is seriously mind-bending, so I recommend you watch it sober.

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.
