how yas i have a 3gs on 4.13 i think not sure have to get me hands on it again to see which im sure i will

anyway can i get a firmware somewhere to upgrade it JB it and unlock it need the unlock thats vital

Does anyone know whats the story with updating my jailbroken ipod touch on 5.0.1 too the 5.1.1 jailbreak when it comes out this week ? do I update my ipod to 5.1.1 then jailbreak it when the jailbreak is released this week ? will I lose my apps and tweaks if I update to 5.1.1 ?

Can my iPhone 4 be unlocked from the three network without upsetting stuff on it? It's firmware says 04.12.01 whats the best option? Version is 5.1.1 (9B206)
I just want to stick a foreign sim in it when I'm abroad this summer.

Is it worth the hassle to upgrade to this version of the jailbreak, I have an ipod touch jailbroken running 5.0.1. I dont really see the merits of upgrading to 5.1.1

Depends how long it is before the next jailbreak, Apps might stop supporting 5.0 before the stop 5.1. If everything is running ok for you i'd say stay where you are.

Personally i like staying up to date so i'd probably move up

Tried it there, it is saying my iPhone 4 is unsupported on 5.1.1 using the OSX version.

Edit:

Nevermind, was on 5.1 not 5.1.1

Great news, I have my iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1 on a tethered JB using redsn0w, I wonder what do I have to do to get on an untethered jb now? Do I have to restore it to wipe out the old jailbreak?

Finishing up now, jailbreak went fine, did a full restore so my sync in takes years. One or 2 errors on cydia with sources I added this happened before with the first jailbreak for the 4s I think its just extra load being put on their servers

There's a Cydia package that'll change your tethered to an untethered jailbreak with just a reboot. something raccoon. Just read it a minute ago but for the life of me I can't remember the proper name. Lol.

Anyway just search for raccoon after Cydia goes through its usual reloading screen.

Rocky raccon will make it untethered if you are already tethered with redsnow

I just updated to a custom 5.1.1 preserving my ipad baseband. Can anybody help me with unlocking the phone again? I've been trying 'repo.iparelhos.com' to get the ultrasn0w fixer but get 'Did not find repository' error message. Is there another repo I can use to get the fixer? I hear cydia's servers are down, is that my only problem?

yes..make sure you're using the latest version of absinthe...2.02 is the latest I think.

When updating and re jail breaking atv 2 using season pass should I restore using original apple firmware and then restore with seasonpas custom firmware or just go straight ahead and restore with custom firmware

I've jailbroken my iphone 4 and installed dreamboard for some themes. I'm using a theme called ERGO HD, but I would like to have my own lock screen picture instead of the default one for the theme but I can't figure out how to change it. I've googled and googled but still can't find an answer, can anyone help?

You can edit it by finding the theme with a file browser and replacing the image with your own. There's a bit more to it than that but that's the just of it

Done a jail break on mine 4s worked fine. Any unlocks available for different networks? Or is at change the IPSW to custom to unlock ?

Also the guy I bought it off might have forgot to mention it's blocked by 3 as to locked to 3, it shows no service with a 3 sim in it? Any ideas..

Kinda pissed I never tried a sim card in it now, hassle of this.

Did you try Ultrasn0w Fixer on Cydia?

Actually, need to do an unlock this evening for someone myself, so should find out if Ultrasn0w Fixer works on 5.1.1 before doing it.
