RTE are way behind on that news report. Dublin is in bits by the sounds of it and RTE gave it less time then the 'muppet show' election?

    agree

I think that they have historically taken such abuse re:allegation that 'it is only relevant if it happens in Dublin', that they have now decided to over-compensate.

Either that, or they havn't looked out the front window yet!

They really are a shower of t*ts.

How is the Dundrum centre so badly flooded?
Because it was built over the river Slang which now flows through a culvert - or is supposed to. Someone got their calculations wrong or the culvert got blocked.

Complete madness down near Clonskeagh near the entrance to smurfits. Dodder has burst banks and the road is like a river according to my wife who has just cycled up that way. The houses on that road are going to be destroyed.:(

I just want to say it is sad to see people with their homes and businesses flooded.
Dublin well justified to be in the news for the weather along with anywhere that is flooded.

    That was some serious rainfall.

It's a good thing we were all warned about this.

Culverts are often ineffective. Crap like shopping trolley always seem to get stuck in them.

Just finished getting wheelie bins and helping people keep water from getting in their front doors. Most people stayed in doors and didnt help :( Only about ten of us out of a road of 100 houses came out.Whole bottom of road flooded.

I dread to think what will happen if rains during night again like earlier.

ANOTHER terrible forecast by Met Eireann. This amount of rain was not forecast.

    Some shower of clowns.

Anyone intending on travelling Terenure area, AVOID Wainsfort road, Fortfield Road and the KCR, they are now part of the Poddle and cars are starting to get stuck.

Go through Raheny. The James Larkin Road/coast road is likely blocked.

    Indeed but still annoyed.

We have enough of their f$ck ups last winter and now another.

"heavy rain, some local flooding" Think we got a fair bit more than that.

Rain should be ending by now in the Dublin area looking at Rain Today. Clearance seems to be moving quickly north.
