I haven't seen any either in dunnes, tesco or supervalu

It must only be in selected stores as it's not on the special offer leaflets. Probably stores with excess stock.

Dunnes seems to be a bit of hit and miss really. My local Dunnes aquafresh bogof were €1.75 but someone said here there's were €1.54. haven't seen the toothbrushes at all but will have a look again tomorrow

Dunnes Scotch Hall in Drogheda have refused pigsback coupons where the item is already on special offer. Was refused coupon on Dettol Spray last week so just returned the item.

Bummer. Vote with your feet. Go somewhere else and email pigsback. The might be able to persuade them to take the coupon with the store offer.

Do SuperValu stores take the Pigsback Coupons. I just registered on the Pigsback website last weekend so not familiar with the system yet. Any hints.

Coupon usually says not valid with other offers or promotions. Point out to Pigsback that you attempted to use a coupon on a product on offer. Copy the email to Dunnes. Next month you'll see even more stringent checks on coupon usage :) This ain't the extreme couponing USA.

Is anyone having probelms printing off pigsback tonight ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,151 ✭✭✭Irishchick

Yes supervalu do generally take them but ask before you shop because some refuse them.

The part that says cannot be used with other promotions means on other products not that you can't use a coupon. (unless it specifically says not to be used with other coupons)

However they have the right to refuse to do it.

Some of us have been at this long before that dreaded show started so don't compare us to those hoarders! :p

It would say similar to "Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion"
Manufacturers use coupons as one way of getting you to buy a product, another is to discount the product in store. They don't intend both to be used at the same time.

no it means it cannot be used in conjuction with any other offer or promotion on another product. It does not mean you cant use a coupon.

No, but if you're having problems try this page, they're not individually coded so they can be photocopied.

Why is everyone getting paedantic about the T&C's?

If the store accept the coupons what's the problem?

The coupon is offed by the Manufacturer. The BOGOF offers are offered by the individual shops. So what's the problem. Supermarkets can't dictate the terms and conditions of the coupons and vice versa. I've watched extreme couponing time and time again and everyone says that the secret is to combine the coupon with in-store offers to get maximum value.

    QED

    Next point......

    Any more coupons?

It looks like the Goodfellas one is the only one that doesn't mention Centra so we can use that one anywhere.

Great to see new coupons though as we hadn't seen any for a while

Different people have different ways of starting.

    get yourself a scissors

if you can print coupons in work my suggestion is a printer to pdf application. I use bullzip, its free and easy to install.
with the money you save you could probably get yourself a laser printer.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-ML-1865-Black-Laser-Printer/dp/B004E1VE56/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1318508355&sr=8-3
this one is really cheap and considering it prints around 1500 pages * if each page can save you €1 then it will have paid for itself in no time.

if you can try putting several coupons on one page that way when you print them you arent wasting paper.

Get yourself a photo album or some sort of flip folder thingy or something like that to hold all your coupons.
We sorted out our coupons in the front to food and the back to cleaning stuff, keep an eye on the expiry dates.

oh and if you arent already on facebook join it as loads of companies are now giving coupons away if you like their pages.

One last thing, if you spot a coupon, post it here if it hasnt already been posted.

Just get printing and go shopping! :D

Have a look at pigsback.com and go backwards through this thread to get the more recent stuff. Print anything you would usually buy (or save the pdf's to your pc) It's handy too to bring your stash of coupons with you when you go shopping in case you see something on special offer. And don't be embarrassed when the cashier scrutinizes your coupons, if you're buying the item(s) on the coupon(s) it should be fine :)

Goodfellas pizza is reduced to €2.50 in Tesco so with the €1 coupon from Centra you get it for €1.50. Had no bother using it in Tesco.
