99th Infantry battalion in a counter Sniper Role in Sangin, Afghanistan, back in April. Brought in to help the Brits after the Afghan Sniper was killing Brittish Sniper teams

Just the paper making a balls of things, that's a sniper pair in Chad.

The paper doesn't say the picture is from Afghanistan, just says "(pictured, Irish Defence forces 99th Infantry battalion)". It's probably just a stock picture they have of snipers that happens to be of Irish ones.

Sappers jump from a hovering Blackhawk helicopter and swim across a frigid lake with their teammates during the helo-cast event on the first day of the competition. The Best Sapper Competition gives engineers throughout the Army the opportunity to compete in a grueling six-phase and three-day competition to determine who are the best engineers in the Army.

I believe they are abrams tanks, or copies of abrams tanks in the employ of an arabic nation, with which the US are not too friendly.

The second one looks to be a Saudi Arabian M1.

They are Zulfiqar 2 (top) and 3 (bottom), the latest tank to be produced by the Iranians.

A Quick google would have given you a decent size to post OP :), Also if you host pics on www.pix.ie you can choose the size of picture to upload to forums.

If you're going to use pix.ie, get the permissions right! Also, imgur is a great option for image hosting.

One used JP6 a variant of JP5 fuel used for shipborne aircraft, the other JP7 which required a special fleet of tanker aircraft
One provided a shirt sleve environment the other you had to wear space suits in

TBM-3 Avenger from Torpedo Squadron Eighty-Two (VT-82), flying from the carrier USS Bennington (CV-20). The plane in formation above this one was hit by AAA and fell down into it. I don't know what happened after this photo was taken.

    Fuel dump ?
    Pic goes Here

    Dump-and-burn
    RAAF F-111 performing a dump-and-burn.

A dump-and-burn is a fuel dump in which the fuel is ignited, intentionally, using the plane's afterburner. A spectacular flame combined with high speed makes this a popular display for air shows or as a finale to fireworks. Dump-and-burns are also referred to as "torching" or "zippos".

General Dynamics F-111 aircraft have been used for this purpose in Australia during the closing ceremony of the 2000 Summer Olympics[1] and (until 2010) regularly at Brisbane's Riverfestival.

I've already posted photos from the Saumur Tank museum in the WW I and WW II forums, As these are all post WW II up to present day I think its probably the best place. If a mod feels otherwise, please move.

The more I look at the pictures, the more I'm amazed by what is on display. Much better than Bovington if a touch underfunded. If you have spare cash and a few spare days, this place is well worth a visit.

The pictures that are tagged Saumur I couldn't name with certainty. Maybe people can help out.
