    Latest on Discoverys processing.
Good news and bad news about 133, bad news is it is likely to be even further delayed.
Good news is the manifest team want it to be a longer mission and add two EVA's for the installation of Leanardo as a PLM. up to now NO eva's were planned for this flight.
    http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2010/05/sts-133-discovery-right-oms-removal-launch-date/

From my reading of it,it appears STS-133 will slip to late November and STS-134 to February/March sometime. This is why i reckon Atlantis has flown her last flight. Discovery(133) has enough time to be processed after her return to be LON for Endeavour(134) and all going well and she's not needed Discovery will be ready for 135 if it gets the go ahead.

That would allow NASA to start laying off some of the workers who work in the OPF on Atlantis in late summer once Atlantis is ready for a museum.

Good to see some possible EVA's coming up,makes it a little more interesting than a straight forward joyride to the ISS.:)

Yeah it would be great to see more. We need more astronauts sharing the experience with the public. Many forget or dont even know the ISS is up there.

Mrs. Beeker just doesn't understand. Much like Mrs. Lucan doesn't either. Usually if i have a vid on the laptop she'll ask "what are you watching?" and my reply of a Shuttle launch/landing etc. is usually met with this::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was shocked at the amount of people that had no clue as to what went on once the shuttle launched. It obviously came up loads when I told people I went to see the launch and 90% asked what happened once they were up there. Told them they docked with ISS, most had no idea what that was and that there were people living on it.

I'd imagine half the shooting star reports in this country are people seeing the ISS streak across the sky and not know what it is!

No point in stopping taking them,we've conceivably another 6 months before the next launch so we have to keep ourselves amused somehow!:D

LL once again i am overwhelmed by Your kindness!
Finally got to watch this video after about 27 Launch aborts attempting to download quicktime!

In the end all i had to do was disable anti-virus,disable windows firewall.disable the routers firewall and wait for 'normal' people to log-off to allow the slow process of downloading and installing of Quicktime to take place, not forgetting having to use a browser i do not like or trust.

Having finally gotten to see it,It was worth it though!:).
So You found it and posted it first?Don't You know the Space race is over:pac:;)

Healthy competition though,It leads to the 'Right Stuff'!:D

Well it is for Sotchi:(.looking like there will be no live coverage as he departs the ISS in less than an hour.

    He is safely tucked in and they are heading home{He is defo not off topic when it comes to Atlantis 132:)}

When NASA TV signed off last night they said they would have no commentry due to memorial day,but i thought they would have TV coverage:(

    May,be they will yet!:)

DOH!!!!! Russian Mission Control, just dont know how to do it with the Style of KSC/JSC do they!:)

Watched a Soyuz landing during a previous STS thread, actually it was quite exciting, They get an even longer radio silence during re-entry.Land with a hugh chute and a firing of rockets just before touchdown.

    The recovery crews were superb!
