Wouldn't go for the gold / two tone myself, but I do like a nice bracelet. - Leather is lovely, but I hate that slimy wrist effect when it gets wet, which it invariably does when I realise half way through the shower that I forgot to take the damn watch off. - Bracelets for the fit 'n forget win.

€200 including new glass. Was by a fella in Kilkenny called John Donohoe, link to his site here

Wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending him

The Uncle Seiko razor wire bracelet came in and I fitted it to the Merkur.
Its a bit of work to interleave the links when resizing the bracelet but its doable. Attached is my watch and a marketing shot from Uncle Seiko with a genuine Tuna.

Seasons greetings...ordered this a few days ago and not expecting to see it this side of Christmas but well pleased to get it this morning...Nothing special but I'm thrilled with it as a cash-strapped new enthusiast, the youtube watch channels got it spot on, amazing bang for the buck, and it's gorgeous, I had a 22 mm vintage style leather off a fossil watch that I knew would look way better than the bracelet, cheers

Looks fantastic. As "manly" as a watch can get. Looks to be worth many times what you paid for it. Fair play. Want to sell it? :D

Nah, I'm going to wear that one for a while. This time last year I had two watches, an everyday Seiko monster and a breitling. I banged the monster and took myself off to argos to get a replacement. That was 12 watches ago.

Back to topic, this was under the tree for me this morning. Casio Oceanus S100. Titanium, solar powered and radio controlled, plus a few other complications that only quartz can do.

Never thought I'd say these words, but that's a beautiful casio

    Odd one for me.

A Garmin vivoactive 3. So a smart watch. - I've never liked them. The wife bought me one for my birthday during the year but I brought it back to the shop for a refund. So she bought it again for me for Christmas! :)

This time, I gave it a go, and.... I have to say I really like it. I'm not mad on the looks, or the strap or the general plastickiness, but the functionality and smart connectivity is pretty compelling and entertaining.

Likewise. Misses had a Ticwatch E with my presents. Can't stop playing with it. For certain occasions/tasks/sports it will be great.

No new watches but I had been waiting on the Watchobsession sale and picked up a yellow Crafter Blue for my Sumo. A little bright for now but will be nice once the weather picks up.

    Hey buddy :)

Emo reminded me earlier that I hadn't been on boards so I figured I better pop in and post :D

Crafter Blue make some of the best rubber straps around. That yellow strap I picked up from Watchobsession but when it arrived it was shorter than advertised on their website so they gave a full refund and told me to keep the strap. I need to get my wrist size down a bit before I can safely wear it.

Props to Watchobsession for the way they handled the problem.

Speaking of straps... Great having the bit of time off so I swapped the bracelet off the Samurai and put it on a nice mesh instead!

Not exactly my watch, but a family member has asked me to check if this is a genuine Patek, it was given as a gift without papers.

Anyone able to tell from these, or should i go to a shop to find out?

I wont pretend to know anything about Patek but that movement looks Chinese, so my guess is this screams fake.

Thank you kindly, presumed it wasn't genuine given the person who gave it wouldn't exactly be flush with cash to give a Patek away!

Big if, but if I was ever in a position to buy a PP I sincerely hope the build quality is a damn sight better than that

I’ve had the same watch since February/March and it makes up about 95% of my daily wear. Love it!
