There are unlikely to be many FTA Setanta or Sky feeds. But Dublin Kerry for Setanta is FTA tonight. Channel name Krry v Dbln Clean. Clean feeds do not have any screen captions. I can hear the RTE commentator in the background on the Setanta commentary on audio track One. Track 2 is stadium noise

    Not strong, only 8 dB.

    Eutelsat 10A (10.0°E)

    Frequency: 11144 - Pol: H - SR: 7120 - FEC: NC

    Category: Sport - Autres

    Transmitted in: MPEG-4

    Comments: Gaelic games/Hurling(s2/hdtv)

I would suggest keeping all feeds for the year on this thread. During the Leagues, Sunday feeds for TG4 will sometimes allow us to see the deferred coverage game live. And sometimes there will be a feed with English commentary for RTE. It is probable however that TG4 will be using the H264 system which renders feeds incapable of being resolved by most receivers.

I can't resolve that one, sound only with blotchy picture. It is Cork Mayo for TG4. It can be done on a computer with a good graphics card.

Found the RTE feed in English on 23.5. There is probably another one somewhere for Roscommon Monaghan. The advantage of the feeds is that they are in HD. TG4 terrestrial is still SD.

    11648 V 7120. Channel name Cork v Mayo RTE.

IRL017 ROSCOMMON CLEAN. No commentary on this one.

    Other Live Game on Tg4

I see TG4 has messed with their 422 encoder again. You'll need a fast processor to decode it and x264dfw installed.

Other Feed Wexford vs Clare (with TG4 graphics)

    Ch Name:IRL27MAIN

    23E 11530 H 14250 DVB-S2 4:2:2

    378354.jpg

The 4:2:2 profile being used for the on air encoder is Planar 422 YUV.

So are these only viewable on a pc now or does an Azbox still suffice?
    Thanks in advance

Very unusual to have a TG4 feed on 4.9 East. I have the audio but as usual with the 14250 symbol rate, no video. Not strong 9dB. Channel name Corn Ui Chonchi. O'Connor Cup final, ladies colleges football. Not live on TG4 , but they have Peil na mBan at 6pm listed as live coverage in my TV listings?

TG4 is using 4.9 East today for the Leagues. Link from yesterday has Donegal Roscommon, which will be the delayed coverage game. Throws in at 3pm.

    Two feeds for Tipperary Galway.

    Astra 4A (4.9°E)

Like the Donegal one, I get sound only. I did a blind scan and found one in the clear.

    12718 V 7120. IRL017 GALWAY TIPP.

All these are around 9 dB.

One from Kilkenny today on 1 West as well, according to Satlliweb. I wasn't around earlier.

    Intelsat 10-02 / Thor 5 - 6 (0.8°W)

According to satelliteweb, there was another feed on 11466 v 14250, that I didn't bother looking for, yet they didn't get 3 of the other 4 that I posted which is unusual for those guys, could be signal strength.

I had to manually guess them, as the blind feed search on my gigablue is very hit and miss.

Anyhow the key is they are usually 20megs away from each other, with that split 14250/7120 s/r going on. The EBU frequencies used by the OB on 23.5 are nearly always in the 11k bracket.

@dxhound, I may have found a way around the 422 feeds using e2 boxes, using the internal HDD, streaming out and back in, but it needs more time!

I could only receive the following on a 90cm dish but azbox only gave audio :(

    23.5E 11465 V S/R 14250 DVB-S2 4:2:2

Had ok signal strength on others but no or intermittent signal quality only on one. bigger dish i guess.

Satelliweb is invaluable but would be nice if it listed signal strength.
Modulation fec and pilot would be nice as well obviously:)
Many thanks stb & dxhound2005 for sharing your knowledge

On the subject of FEEDS,which box would be recognised as the no.1 for searching.

    So whats the answer ?

The answer imo is that its not a commercially available box, especially if you want to open 10bit H264 4:2:2 feeds.

Fast HTPC territory and a TBS PCI card.

You are probably using Enigma 2? You can find the FEC very quickly by System, Service Finder, Satfinder (or Signal Finder or similar). That allows you to field through the FEC and Pilot options, which only takes a short time.

Nearly all feeds are DVB-S2 and 8PSK. Most common FEC is 3/4 and usually Pilot ON.

Signal strength reports would not be much help, unless you knew the location and the size of the dish. Sometimes you see a comment No Signal, which is meaningless without this information. Also different receivers give different readings.
