Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I see Vape-Forward are releasing their new line of VapourFlasks on......................... the 25th of December . Really doesn't seem like a good business move to me , I would have tried to move heaven and earth to have them out in time for Christmas shopping .

Just looking at the vivi nova tanks online and I came across one with no wicks in it. Does anyone know what coils that one takes ? Kind of hoping it takes the same coils as the aspire k1 or aspire maxi ?

If it's the one in the attachment, it takes the same coils as the k1/maxi

Any of you used a Triton 2? Is it as versatile as they claim?

I have a Triton 2 with the RTA pack as well, I really like it, I can build my own and there's now an excellent array of pre-built coils, Kanthal Claptons, Ni Claptons for TC, as well as normal coils of various metals.

To check the status of your 3 batteries by percentages...

Turn off RX200,hold all 3 buttons down for 20 seconds & the display will show the 3 batteries with their percentages of charge left.

Anyone know how long Gearbest EU warehouse orders take to arrive? They shipped my Nebox on Monday.

The only order I made from the EU warehouse arrived 4 days after I got the shipped email. Was back around September. I have a phone on the way from the EU warehouse for my wife, it hasn't shipped yet but I'll update when it does. Thinking of getting a bluetooth car stereo on there too! They have none in the EU warehouse though.

I had to wait two weeks around the beginning of December.

Other times, 6/7 days. I wish they would stock more there.

Don't forget that you may still be liable for customs duty on purchases from Gearbest EU.

Really? They advertise it as not having to worry about customs.

Its a big mystery too where in the EU the warehouse is. My stuff normally only has An Post stickers.

So whether bulk boxes of many orders are sent to each country, to then be post labelled and forwarded I'm not sure. Similar to amazon agreement with an post.

Aren't items from the eu exempt from import duty?

The EU warehouses don't pay import duty on the products that they have in their warehouses that they bring in from China. The money owed is then passed on to the purchaser.

If you have noticed some parcels arriving from Gearbest and Fasttech with yellow stickers, this is customs stating that the product is actually originating from outside the EU.

That is basically it. They bulk ship to the EU to make it look like it's originating from here but it isn't. It's just relabelled and reshipped to the purchaser. The likes of Swiss Post or Sweden Post are prime examples.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,580 ✭✭✭moleyv

I've never had a yellow sticker on the ones from the 'EU warehouse' though. Only from China.

I normally do small split orders to keep it under 22e when I order from China if I can, but do 'full' orders from EU.

I won't be too impressed if I get a bill on an EU order. China, fair enough.

There is some new kanger stuff coming out, with top fill tanks and TC mods. They user the newer cylindrical coils. I'll wait until I see some reviews first.

I had 7 successful orders from Fasttech and 3 from Gearbest's EU Warehouse and never had any customs issues. I wouldn't worry about it....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 451 ✭✭bd2012

Would I be safe in assuming that ordering from gearbests Chinese site is similar to fasttech, ie forget about your order until it arrives and surprises you! Order shipped 10 Dec. Still nothing.....

I got a temp control iStick 60W today from Gearbest today. It did have a little yellow sticker on it. Have no idea what it entails.

****ing thing isnt working properly with my builds though. Does Kanthal not work? It said the coil was 0.4 or something yet its 1.2?

Not really very impressed with it otherwise either - its much bigger than the 20w/ 30w - doesnt look great.

My order shipped Dec 4th, arrived today.

Youre going to have to factor in the holiday period and the days off/ extra post that entails.

Can anyone please explain the theory/ practicalities of a TC build in relation to the iStick 60W?

I got it last week and tried to build a 1.2 Kanthal coil in my Kayfun but it didnt fire. It read 0.4 ohms I think. I then built a 1.6 ohm and that read at 0.4 also. I only use Kayfun L+'s of which I have 5 now!

I ordered some nickel wire for the TC last night but got quite alarmed when doing some perfunctory research though. More confused and a little terrified.

Its not near as simple as Kanthal and VW? Tbh, had I done my research I wouldnt have bought the TC and would have got another 30W iStick. For the last 2 yearsish ive only used iSticks with Kayfuns on Kanthal builds at 1.2 ohms Kanthal. Simple, safe and reliable.

I don't build much, and always with kanthal.

But I'll just say the 60wTC is really bad at reading ohms, even using stock coils, so bad it has problems firing, unless I fire to warm the coil, then remove tank so it re reads.

It works very well with stock kanthal coils for me though. Haven't tried a build on it.

But its dodgy as hell in TC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 445 ✭✭8mm

I have an 40wTC and not tried TC just kanthal. Your tank may be making poor contact and I had this issue with a kayfun v4. To fix it I adjusted the contact screw on the base of the tank and it works fairly well though I do need to occasionally need to readjust.

I have watched a ton of videos about TC & alot of viewers always complaining about Kayfuns,PBusardo is a big user of Kayfuns & he just can't connect a Kayfun on most TC mods, something to do with the 510 on the Kayfun & he has contacted Kayfun about this problem, maybe he has some news on his website.
So I reckon your TC 60w is not your problem, can you try another type of atty on your TC mod to see if that works ok,then you will know that it is the Kayfun that is causing this problem.
It seems that Kayfun & TC mods don't like each other

Does anyone know if any of the Cork ecig shops sell decent 18650s? Or any 18650s, just need one to tie me over the weekend until I get some decent ones online.

Gearbest.com have an EU warehouse. Their EU range is much smaller and you have to pay for delivery but it still works out much cheaper than buying from any Europe based companies.

I've made 2 orders from the EU warehouse. First was an Evic Mini that arrived 4 days after ordering, the other was a Xiami Redmi 2 phone (I'd really recommend it if you're technically capable and want what nearly qualifies as a mid range phone in Ireland for 130 euro) for my wife which came in 6 days. Hard to complain, it's still near enough Chinese prices for less less than a week delivery.

I have, Republic of Vape very kindly sent me 150mls absolutely free, the mad gits.

It's lovely (I've been saying that since Vapefest, I'm not shilling!), but I'm pretty sure they and Vintage Vape Rooms have little sample bottles in-store if you were near any of them?

I can vouch for her not being a shill.

Also I don't know about RoV, but VVR do have samples of Bomb Pop available.
Haven't tried it yet myself, but by all accounts (not just Penny's :P ) It is meant to be lovely. Supposed to taste like some Rocket Ice Lolly from a few years back. Can't recall which one though.
