Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

your woman doesnt have a clue, Id like to hear her alternatives! she wouldnt be fit for a debate on the economy in after hours. Hilarious hearing FF talk about what should be done, this from the crowd who wrote the book on how not to run an economy! Im sick of Browne always banging on about the "poor" would love to know who he is referring to...

What is this crap at all at all? One big free advertisement for The Irish Times.

Who paid who for this? IT paid TV3 for free advertising or TV3 paid IT for letting them into to their offices to make another useless bloody programme for their crap TV station?

    Rant over!

Like most TV presenters, the Irish Times seems to fascinate VB. I know he writes a column for them, but there are other Irish newspapers.

    Guess who Vinny writes for?

Haven't read The Irish Times since my college days when we got it for free. Too Dublin-centric for me.

One thing that the Irish Times has going for it is that it is owned by trustees and not a wealthy media mogul

I suppose we should be grateful that its not the ''Irish'' Sun that he's promoting.

Serves them right for trying to go national. It'll always be The Cork Examiner, no matter how hard they try to appeal to people outside De People's Republic :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

She probably doesn't have the right "accent" for the middle class Irish Times.

  • Registered Users Posts: 238 ✭✭I8A4RE

Yawn, please move on to the next person Vincent, social blah blah, working class blah blah blah, they are not in ABC1

She is a bright girl and the Irish Times could do with young reporters like her. Her accent shouldn't come into it.

I agree completely, but how many hacks did you see in the Irish Times office who had working class Dublin accents?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Is it just a coincidence that The Irish Independent are running an ad on TV3 straight after an hour of a powder-puff piece for The Irish Times? ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Does that Labour idiot seriously believe that people like Clare Daly will support a Fine Gael government if Labour pull out?? Just goes to show what a bunch of power-hungry mercenaries the Labour parliamentary party have become.

I'm enjoying watching the Labour Party implode. Keep it up lads.

Vinny having great fun with some labour guy who looked like he was gonna have a breakdown.

They deserve everything they get. I hope they go the way of the Greens. They've sold out on every principle they've had. Hopefully the electorate won't forget this at the next general election.

You can't impose a wealth tax because the fat cats will move their assets abroad. You can't increase Corporation Tax because the fat cat companies will move their operations abroad (even though most of these companies use financial chicanery to pay a lot less than 12.5%).
So you impose extra charges and taxes on the middle and low incomes and cut social welfare because it's like shooting fish in a barrel. That's the way it's always been and that's the way it will stay in this country.
