Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This model will have to be cable unlocked !

a mate of mine unlocks phones, i'll ask him if he can do this one and get back to ya - he can do the P900 so i'm sure he could do your one - but i'll ask to be sure....

1. Your IMEI number - press *#06# on your keypad.
2. Your make and model of phone.
3. The network (o2,meteor,orange,virgin etc) that the phone is locked to.
4. The country where the phone is locked to.

can the t630 be unlocked with a code or does it need a cable? how easy is it to do. im thinking of getting one of the speadkeasy ones but i want to use it on vodafone.cheers for any help

this phone can only be done by cable unlock at the moment.... i can do it for you if you like ... i'm also in Tallaght....

It can't be done via remote unlocking !

This model can be done by cable only AFAIK !

Picked up an old Ericsson, T20e at the weekend. Problem is it's network locked and i don't know which network. Have tried putting 085/6/7 sim in without success. Anyone know where/how i could get this unlocked

Right the unlocking thread seems to be slipping away into the night due to lack of interest since a couple of people were banned. I have a T630 (just got it) and need to get it unlocked. Can anyone offer any help? cheers.

Also, am trying to do a master reset/clear
its asking me for securitycode, whats the default?
the security code for locking the phone is 12345 but this seems to be a different one?

b) unlocking questions are supposed to be kept to the 'unocking thread' (to which this thread is now merged)

The default V300 security code for master reset/clear is six zeroes (000000).
As of yet, nobody has "cracked" the algorithm for Motorola unlock codes so there's no free way of unlocking them. They're expensive too, mine cost €30 to unlock by clip.

If you know how to seem edit you can enable a keypad lock, but there's a bug in it. After applying the lock and closing the flip, the backlight on the outer LCD doesn't turn off!

I think there is only two ways to unlock a T630.

1 - Get the network unlock code from the network you bought the phone off. AFAIK they don't give out unlock codes until you have spent a certain amount of credit. If you are a bill pay customer, they'll usually just unlock it for you without too much hassle. You can find your current network lock status by pressing <**<. If you can get the unlock code off the network you'll enter it there under network.

Or

2 - Get a terminator dongle or find someone who has one and is willing to let you borrow it. Then you have to buy an unlocking credit off SE AFAIK.

ok I suppose that leads me to two solutions, 1) anyone got a terminator dongle or have access to one.

2) go to gsm solutions, but the last few threads mentioning them werent very favorable and im not sure what they charge,ill have to give them a ring tomorow.

i got a t630 from o2 on the site and i got it unlocked with a guy down here who unlocks phones. hes not as dear as the one up above either. think it was 20 euro.

Keep an eye out on the For Sale board as they crop up every now and then. I'm pretty sure I saw one there in the last week or two for around 30 or 40 quid.
