It's always when I'm wearing comfy, 'hanging around the house all day' clothes that the guy delivering my Chinese food is really, really pretty. Why? Why can't he come when I don't look like a slob?!

So jealous! I've been hankering to watch that for months but can't find it online anywhere. Think I'm going to have to buy the DVD when I get home... y'know, just for when my nephew comes over :D
It's my fav movie ever so had to buy the limited edition blu ray. My nephew has never see it and I actually don't think he has blinked since I put it on :D

Wooo! just finished the 60hr part of the course! Got checkpoint 5 down first go! Got all of them down first go except for one question on checkpoint 4.:D

Now onto the 4x10hr specialist modules and 9 or 10 days to do it in :( it takes me ages to answer the questions cos I just can't let myself get it wrong, that one question that I got wrong just needed to expand on annoyed the crap out of me!

I laughed and cried and found inspiration today.
I was at the Irish feminists networks first conference.
It was amazing to be in a room with over 60 other women who id as feminists
ranging in age from 18 to 70s.

I'm finishing my degree and walked for 20 minutes to the bus stop with a massive canvas, three bags and a plastic folder that was heavy and slippy I left enough time but I've never been to college on a weekend I didn't account for the lack of traffic I got right up to the bus my hands were holding stuffs so all I could do is make eye contact with the driver but he didnt wait for me, at the time I was mad at him for not stopping but during the 40 minutes waiting for the next one I was really just mad at myself.

I did an all nighter working so I feel so manky, monday is D day HOOOOORAYYYY

Migraine all day but it was an amazing day none the less.

    Edited -
Feel good for today was going for a walk, and passing the field where my pet calves are in. There are two gates in the field. The two biggest pets were standing at the gate (as they always are) looking at everyone passing up and down, and when I passed the gate, and yelled Hello and their names at them, they trotted up the field, next to the ditch after me. I got to the second gate a bit further up the road, and looked back, and there they were, waddling/running up along the ditch that runs next to the road, up to the second gate, and stood staring after me when I walked on. Silly things like that make me feel loved. I really need a relationship LOL.

Ah I love Disney movies! I was all depressed because I'm not going out tonight as planned and I'm home alone, but now you've inspired me to watch Alice in Wonderland or Sleeping Beauty :)
The Lion King is awesome too, but Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favourite film. We lost the video when I was very young so I hadn't seen it for about 8 years until my boyfriend surprised me with the DVD :D

Also, yay for Leinster :) And commiserations to any Ulster supporters!

    Excellent idea :D

Does anybody know if there are any painkillers available over-the-counter for someone allergic to paracetamol and ibuprofen and someone who is asthmatic? My bf went to the chemist today, albeit a small chemist, and the woman said that there is nothing. He's going to go to Boots tomorrow and hopefully have more luck but just wondering if anybody knows of anything?

I have prescription painkillers but I really can't afford the price of doctor-prescription-painkillers again this week, I've been every week for the past 3 weeks.

You could try phoning the doctor, see if they'd renew the prescription without you seeing them?

Be careful getting advice about painkillers on the internet, people (however nice) can be shockingly stupid about stuff like that.

How... how is it possible never to have seen a Disney film?:eek::confused:

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 27,643 Mod ✭✭✭✭Posy

I just never seen one.. we didn't have a VCR or many tv channels when I was a child.. and I've no cousins, no siblings and therefore no nieces or nephews. :(
I wil rectify it when my friend's little girl gets old enough to watch movies. :)

Ah they've done that for me twice already, I just want something that I can get a bit more conveniently. Like the last time I rang in for a prescription was the Friday of the bank holiday, the receptionist didn't think it was that urgent and left it until the following working day, which was Tuesday to fax over a copy of the prescription to the chemist, so I had to ring the chemist and beg them for the prescription because I needed the painkillers for the weekend. I just want something that I can just go into a chemist and purchase.

Ah I know that, anything that is suggested will be checked out first but just wanted to know if there was anyone else in a similar situation that might have suggestions.

I grew up in 2 channel land, no siblings. We did have a VCR though :)

Mind you, I've probably seen more Disney films as an adult than I ever did as a kid!

I reckon she's just copped on to how much work is involved in looking after the dog and has thought this up as an excuse...

I grew up in the land of 1.5 channels (Network 2 - bet you haven't heard it called that in a while! - was snowy) and we didn't have a VCR until I was in my teens and even I've seen all the Disney movies

    no recipe :D
just slice the chicken into strips, throw in the asian mix veg frozen stir fry stuff, dash in half a lemon and a scatter of honey and um throw in the rest of the spices
    :D

How about cutting up the chicken, coat it in the spices, cover and leave for a few hours to marinate. Then do all the rest...

There are serious roars coming from my brothers and their 20 friends in the sitting room, and even louder roars from my dad in the kitchen.

So I'm guessing something fairly important is going on there!

I've just remembered that we had one of those tvs with the twisty nobs to change between the 2 channels and change the volume, but then they fell off so there was always a pliers somewhere near the tv.
