Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Drinking a lot and shiite like that, can't really go into too much detail on here. But feel like I'm back to where I was this time last year. Its frustrating.

The fact that you've recognised what you're doing means you are in a rational enough frame of mind that you can curb it, if you work hard to do it.

Obviously if I don't know details, I can't pin-point what could help, BUT, regarding drinking too much - is there a reason/a trigger? If it's due to your social circle, and you don't want to be doing that, maybe you need to re-think that. If it's down to a person pissing you off, you need to find another way to vent?

Probably didn't make much sense there, sorry. But hopefully you'll get yourself right soon. :)

Anyone who might be thinking of ever writing a book don't do it because as well as having to write the damn thing you then have to edit it and it is the most mentally exhausting process there is. I'm still only.on the read through phase, nothing's even been changed yet...although a lot has been crossed out with red pen. Anyway time for bed now, night night.

I actually got a NICE text from my boss.

We have two targets, cash targets and a target to sell a certain amount of a particular item. The second target is absolutely impossible to reach, although we reached it a few times when the shop first opened.

He texted me to say he's lowered the second target, to something more achievable, which means it's much more likely we'll hit both targets and get our commission.

AND if we only hit one of the two targets each week, he'll give us half our usual percent rate of commission. That means I'm guaranteed commission every week, because I always go waaaaaaaay over my cash target.

AND he's set us a monthly target for the next four weeks. We have to make X amount of cash, and if we do, we'll get an extra bonus on top of our commission. It's a massive amount of money, but considering how well my sales have been going, I might just make it. :D

    YAY for more money. :D

"The Emu War, also known as the Great Emu War" may be one of the best lines I've ever seen on wikipedia.

I decided (stupidly!) to scrub my gran's house before she comes home from the hospital, and today's my only day off so I have to do it today.

So far, I've cleaned and disenfected the bathrooms, changed all of her beds, cleaned her utility room, her garage, her shed, her sitting room and cut the grass in the front and back gardens. I'm feckin' shattered and I still have to clean the kitchen, wash and dry three more loads of clothes and bed sheets, clean her second sitting room, hoover all the floors in the house, wash the windows and clean out her oven, diswasher, microwave, the swing chair, benches, table and slide in the back garden and sort out her drinks and glasses cabinets. I'm so tired and sore. :(

Depends on how well you pay! :p

When I'm in the mood for it, I'm great at cleaning. When I'm not in the mood, I'm unbelievably lazy. Like, last time Marty was over here, he was sick and I wouldn't even move to put a new DVD in the DVD player, I made him do it. :o So I suppose it's a good thing that I woke up feeling energetic, otherwise her house would be a tip when she comes home. :pac:

I've abandoned a ton ot books. This is the first that I ever finished the first draft of. I love writing and even editing to an extent but it is really tiring. For the record I think that is a kickass name but then my name isn't Ciara.

Hey KellieF. Seen you round the vegetarian forum before but welcome to this part of boards.

Editing is a biiiitch. Never edited books/novels, but editing college work was painful. I think it's because I'm so afraid of finding a mistake and saying 'what the hell were you thinking???'.

KellieF.......I think I remember you from my time before as the NUI Maynooth mod....

If I'm not mistaken, I've met you before? You were at a house party of mine once I think!

Nah you still do a ton of editing and writing yourself, an editor I think mainly tells you what to cut and change rather than doing it for you. They only fix minor stuff like spelling themselves. Not that I'd mind because I'd be signed to a major publisher! Hehe.
