Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Supposedly the "gang" and their families from Tyrellstown where evicted and moved to the Latchford area.

Notoriously bad where they were and only moved 10 mins down the road.
I know someone who lived near them before and they sent me many texts warning what would happen.

I have friends living in Latchford, best warn them so.

Who are these people or gang you guys are talking about? All from the same family? What is their age profile? Latchford is fairly close in fairness

Not sure if it's the right one but stick Par tv into youtube and you'll get an idea of the lads.

Edit; Put Tyrellstown gangs in first.

Had a look at that vid over the weekend. Don't think I've ever seen a bigger bunch of pathetic looking cretins in my entire life.

I wouldnt presume, it depends where the parents have spent time. For me the accent comes across as put-on to sound like the east London bro's. Complete spanners.

To be completely accurate I believe the correct terminology nowadays is either "Bruv", Bruh" or "Blud", not bros (which is so noughties :D).

100% walked past it after collecting the little one from school and was talking to the brother of the teenager who got shot.

Yes definitely. Some media are showing an image of Gardaí on the Parlickstown Gardens T site in numbers and all mention the definite line of inquiry of it being linked to a Traveller feud.

A new low, which will only escalate things.

Dangerous stupid people, they are saying it was over a boy and girl running away together, arranged marriage gone wrong.

This might have something to do with it.

Nah I reckon those are old news.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 884 ✭✭✭septictank

One of the family names is right, the one you met, there are others that were in the news not long back for very serious crime but may well not have anything to do with it, who knows, we'll see, address fits, still mad stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,357 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

The father/grandfather of yesterdays victims is heard on the news lamenting the fact that the attack was over a dispute already 2 or 3 years old, so connected to that old news it may be.

Ok, I posted about this issue at the time earlier today (3pm) as it's a great cause of concern in the area. however, it was removed by admin as I had attached an image of the people in question (no faces, it was a distant pic from behind). Would have made more sense to simply remove attached pics. hopefully no houses were robbed in the meantime...

Dodgy activity on Delwood Park today at 3pm. Two suspicious ladies clearly checking if houses were empty. One of these ladies watched people leave a house and the other called into two houses clearly checking to see if occupied.

They noticed they were being watched and backtracked across Delwood Park then disappeared

Just shout at them and they’d run

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 654 ✭✭✭conor-mr2

Thanks for that. Indeed it would have been preferable if the image had been kept.

If they're actively robbing a house but if they're sussing the place out you'd be better off recording them with a phone and calling the Gardai. Ideally they'd get caught in the act and done. Otherwise they'll just go suss somewhere else out.

I didn't realise the thread was deleted at the time. I was hoping at least some people in the area would have read it and kept an eye out for neighbors houses etc.

Threads merged. Not only was there no need for a thread of its own, that's what this thread is for, you simply can't post pictures of people on a public forum like Boards, even if their faces aren't visible, and suggest that they're up to no good. Unfortunately if they were up to no good they're probably the sort of people who would exploit the defamation laws in this country to their fullest extent.

There's a dedicated thread in the Motors forum for doing such a thing.

I heard a house in Delwood Close was burgled during the week, early evening. Could be the same gang.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,654 ✭✭✭Nolimits

Apparently there was a rather fat man wearing a lot of red than was seen breaking into houses last night via the chimney.

    Stay safe people.

Apparently there was a joke from the 80s rehashed on a Dublin 15 computer yesterday

According to David McGuinness fb page a car has mounted the path at Starbucks beside leisureplex and struck a pedestrian. No word in how the person is doing yet.

I was there and saw it. It was definitely intentional. I'm horrified now as thought it was a feud between people who knew eachother. I was across at milanos so didnt realise they were kids. He drove at them twice then stopped outside tgis where there was a row, people punching and throwing bins. He then sped off again. He could easily have hit plenty more people, the place was mobbed up there :(

How did nobody get a reg if he stopped, turned and did it again?

My 4 year old ran across the pedestrian crossing in the village yesterday and only my wife shouted and he stopped he would have been knocked down by someone who went through the red light and didn't stop.

The number of drivers that speed up when they see a pedestrian trying to cross or on the crossing, really boils my blood.

According to one of the articles a kid got the reg and it was given to the Gardai. Assume cctv will have it too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,965 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

Plenty of CCTV around there you'd imagine.
