Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looks like I responded to the wrong post. Must be at least partially drunk. That's a good thing I suppose.

Trailing by 37 points with Sterling my only differential left, think it's safe to say I have this one in the bag....

Well on his way to the 38 point haul now, no bother

    Mannone
    Oshea, Dummett, Hutton
    Di Maria, Sterling, Fabregas, Ramsey
    Rooney, Jovetic, Adebayor

Captain Di Maria, think I've ended up sabotaging my own week :pac:

Looks like back to winning ways, barring Adebayor going nuts and scoring 3 or 4 in the second half ;)

After Ade's no show I'm well and truely bet. At the end of the day I'd rather that then to lose out by a point! The international break will give me a chance to to pick the teams spirits up after two defeats in a row :pac:

    Good job Mike!

itsnotmyfault, (well done your choice to capt siggy hammered me), condemn me to a second straight defeat, time to circle the wagons, introduce new blood and come out fighting after the international break.

Thanks :) You had me worried when I saw the team you'd wildcarded to. Ditching Costa was a sensible move even if it didnt pay off and captaining Siggy was inspired. Best of luck for the season and I'll look forward to the return leg.

InanimateCarbonJ-Rod have continued to prove their worth and attitude after the slack refereeing in GW 1. Team spirit is high and the chairman seems more than pleased heading into the international break

Debuchy clean sheet or 6 pts plus gets a win, badly needed but not expecting it tbh.

This is going right down to the wire . Whattawastamoney 49 - Krul Hand Luke 47 (if sterling gets 3bps).
A quiet last ten mins from Ramsey will get me over the line i think.

3 from 3 top of the table for the break chambers saved my gw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,192 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Well done Neon Knight on the win. Had Sterling grabbed a brace it would have been 3 from 3 for me but can't win 'em all I suppose.

Cheers finnharpsboy, nice for a relatively brave captain choice to work out. Also nice to get a bit of luck with chambers 8 points and shawcross 7.

Best of luck in the next match but when we meet again I'm going to hammer you(probably won't happen).

This is going to take a huge effort to get promoted jebforever. Whatever 3 go up will certainly deserve it .

2 wins on the bounce after an opening day defeat.. delighted with that.

I wonder how many points would a team need to go up? Would 26-28 wins would be required I reckon?

Really need a win this week. Two losses after a winning start, not looking to make it a hat-trick!

Picked my wildcard team 2 weeks ago and here i am at 11:20 having doubts

monkstown hoop you genius, thats some score

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

I'm down 38-32 as it stand before BPs.

I have Sterling, Di Maria & Falcao(c) left Bojanna has Sterling & Rooney(c). Will be a close one, hopefully Di Maria & Falcao come through for me!

A week of pondering my wild card, the Leicester goal put a dampener on things though

What a dreadful day. Wiped out by Amkar. Not even a hattrick by captain Rooney will save this disaster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,192 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Trailing 44-38 against Hackers and almost certainly heading for my second loss in a row. He had Costa as captain so with that alone he has 89% of my total points. Hackers has Moore to come off the bench as well with 6 so it's effectively 50-38 atm. I only have Rooney (c) left and he has Rooney, Mata and Chester to play. I need a Rooney hattrick or a goal with a few assists and I can't see that happening.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

SantryRed leads me 61-55 with my De Gea, Mata and Rooney (c) vs his Collins and Rooney.

Could be a very close run thing by the end.

  • Registered Users Posts: 864 ✭✭✭itsnotmyfault

Insertwhittynamehere (dahat) v Cesc on the Bench (itsnotmyfault) 12th v 5th

Well that wasn't even a contest. It was always going to a damage limitation gameweek as i held back from using from wildcard and with no costa:eek: or fabregas i never really had a chance.

Congrats dahat. Wildcard now in play, I'll be ready for next week.

i need about 6 goals from di maria and a hattrick from rooney to catch monkstown hoop and avoid 3 losses in a row

well and truly spanked by monkstown hoop, i doff my cap to you sir

Also well done laluda beating the leader kilburn, welcome to the winners club :pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

    Another loss for me :(

Should be 57 - 63 once BPs are added. Captain choice cost me! Last time I'll be taking a risk on it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,912 ✭✭✭kilburn

Really poor captaincy choice cost me badly.

    Well done laluda

  • Registered Users Posts: 77 ✭✭deadlineday

thks Kilburn.have had a poor start this yr so taking the league leader down gives me a huge confidence boost.as a united fan i was torn wit wanting Falcao to come on but not to score.this game eh???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,912 ✭✭✭kilburn

I had the captaincy on Costa until Saturday morning well Falcao should come good next week

was surprised u hadnt captained him but u are right he will come good.was a toss up or me between aguero/costa to replace Jovetic.i chose badly.Costa a must have.must ignore his yellow flags in future.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

I now lead SantryRed 89-71 and he has Collins to play and no points from the bench. I'm not one for counting my chickens but I'll give a hearty congrats if I lose this tie.

  • Registered Users Posts: 533 ✭✭✭Hackers

I was a little worried today until the 57th minute but once Mata scored it settled our fixture! Hopefully can win a couple of more on the bounce now!

After a dismal Saturday, with Costa alone getting the same amount of points as my team, it's good to see that I edged my league game by 1 point. Makes up for the poor score this week!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 61 ✭✭biscuits1988

I *think* I'm going to sneak in with a 1 point win if my maths are right. 3 wins on the bounce.. happy days!

    Hard luck WuTang!

There's a bit of a "1-0 to the Arsenal" about them so!
